I would invest the extra weight into the hammer arm. A long bolt inside the 3d printed arm would add the weight and make it surprisingly heavier than it looks. This not only makes it really strong, but also makes it hit harder as there's more weight behind the hammer blows.

Nice build and video! I recently finished my fairyweight thwackbot Killtacular and just put out a video on it too. We used almost exactly the same electronics (the Malenki is amazing) but had wildly different design philosophies. It was also INCREDIBLY hard to drive in a straight line.

Awesome build. What thickness are the walls of the chassis?

I believe they are 3 mm. You might be able to get away with 2 mm, but I’d roll with 3 or higher.
