Bangalore avarekaayi is different from pandhal avarakkai. It is called chapradha (chapram means pandhal) avarekayi in Bangalore. Avarekaayi is mochai paruppu. Avrekayi mela is different sweet, savouries, tiffin etc prepared from MOCHAI .

Crt mam, now a days Avacado, kiwi, strawberry, blueberry, broccoli these foreign fruits and vegetables are getting influenced through marketers and replacing our country fruits and vegetables 😢

For sure can eat. Soak for 7 hours and cook in same soaked water for varagu , thinai, saamai , kuthiraivaali , for other millets you need to drain water. not soaking is the problem.
