I think Chaos Team is based on Camp Cretaceous which is on Netflix because the characters are the same and Bumpy was also there

@@joevictor53 "she" At that point in the series, all the dinosaurs were still female to, in theory, prevent them from breeding. But yeah, I became SO INVESTED in Bumpy watching that show, that I went through the volcano scene in the 2nd World movie frame by frame looking for any Ankylosaurus that maybe almost could have been Bumpercar. I needed to believe somehow, that she got off Isla Nublar.

I do love the brick built dinosaurs with creative and clever techniques and piece usage, not to mention play features. For me, that's more appealing than a solid block of plastic in the shape of a dinosaur, since I'm buying lego after all!

honestly, while i am hyped for two new species, certain details like that, along with the lack of printing on the claws and tail of the allosaurus kinda make them look like those fake ones you can buy from those rando knock-off websites.

The baby wins. Really like the motion with a small set. I'm not a huge fan of the normal big molds since a lot of them feel more like a regular toy versus LEGO. I do like the vehicles in the sets.

I do wish that Lego’s dinosaurs were built similar to Avatar or Ninjago’s beasts; Molded heads on a brick built body. However, these two new dinosaurs look really good. And I would die for Bumpy the ankylosaurus.

Yea they should’ve used the indoraptor mold for it or made a new size mold that fits it and the carnotaurus because the carnotaurus are also oversized in lego

@@DrNitro those were actually cenozoic, but yes, we need more non-dinosaur prehistoric creatures. they actually did make a mammoth and smilodon in 2018 though

That Allosaurus was incredibly cheaped out on. Not a single claw painted, lack of any detail for the tail, the jaw isn't even tan to go along with the underside, it's just like Lego got lazy.

I like the big molded dinosaurs. I mean they scale pretty fairly when compared to the rest of Lego all things considered. And they brick built ones scale horribly or look really bad at smaller more accurate scales.

The reason the Allosaurus' jaw looks so goofy is because LEGO likes to reuse elements from other dinos to make less moulds. The jaw was repourposed from the baryonyx and i know this because i checked it with my own. Also it is a bit dissapointing that the new dinos dont have nail polish and that the stego doesnt have prints on its legs but WE HAVE PAPER BAGS!!!

That’s the Baryonyx Jaw. It doesn’t look good on Allosaurus at all, not even when opened. The Carnotorus Jaw probably would have worked better.

There is a creator 3in 1 set that lets you build tyrannosaurus, triceratops and some kind of pterosaur. Actually two similar sets one smaller for around 10-20$ (I forgor) another was recently released for 60$

fair warning from an experienced dino collector, once you start collecting molded dinosaurs, they become an infinite money drain, and you cant stop.

It looks like the series starts tomorrow, according to the poster from Netflix, so you could have waited a day or two to get to know the characters if you were interested in their minifigs. Looks like the series is a sequel to their previous series, Camp Cretaceous, so there are some returning characters as well. I was asking for set recommendations at the local Lego Store, and Jory recommended the T-Rex escape set due to the building experience and the details in the instruction book.

June 9, 1993 is the date of the official premiere of the original Jurassic Park movie... The movie came out in wide release on June 11. Simple as that ;-)

5:12 I think that might be some kind of freezer/cooler to keep specimens in. Those clear cheese slope pieces are probably meant to represent ice forming inside. I may be wrong though, just my assumption for a research vehicle.

I’m glad that Lego made an allosaurus, but I’m quite upset that it is a bit oversized, they made it as big as a T Rex, even bigger. It bothers me because my Lego t Rex already looks tiny next to my Lego carno, now the allosaurus is also bigger than T Rex makes Rexy looks so small.

The snout of the Allosaur should have been shorter and not have such a bad underbite. Otherwise nice sets and molds. I really should get one or 2 dinos.

These dinos are a bit too smooth for my taste. I understand we can't go back to the OG Dino Island theme style, but these feel a bit too modern in my opinion.

i really prefer the older themes. in my opinion, dino attack was the height of lego dinosaurs. although i still collect all four styles

i feel like constantly replacing their system forced them to get creative and make quality figures for the og dino themes. although that level of quality actually lasted till fallen kingdom in my opinion

So I’m guessing the series is about a certain amount of years after the events of camp Cretaceous, considering it has the same cast of characters, and bumpy is the name of ankylosaurus of that series (named that way because of the uneven bumps on it’s head)
