“IT’S A TIARAAAAA!!” LOL😂One of my FAVORITE Amy moments!

One of my favorite all-time episodes! My husband even got me a mug that says "I'm a princess and this is my tiara!"

This is one of my favorite episodes! Amy's tiara moment always makes me smile. I also LOVE Bernadette at the birthday party. The "anyone else wanna join the no cake club" makes me laugh every single time.

interesting to me though, because Bernadette said once tha her mom ran a daycare in the basement and she was really good with kids and so she was able to handle sheldon acting like one. Here, however, she claims to not be good with little kids.

Because I don’t want to spoil anything I’m going to be very vague, but some of things you discuss in your commentary on this episode I hope you remember because there’s some episodes where the writers must have had similar thoughts as you here. Amy’s reaction to the tiara is still so great! Definitely one of my favorite Amy moments in the show that I’ve been waiting on to see your reaction to and it was definitely worth it to see your reaction! I’d like to say it’s a Sheldon thing to get so into character while playing a game, but I have friends that are like that and that’s about the only thing they’d have in common with Sheldon. Whenever I watched this episode when it aired I immediately thought of them during that scene between Sheldon and Leonard. Leonard’s response of “No thanks I’m playing GTA later” made me realize that it could be fun to play along next time I am around those friends while they’re playing a video game they get immersed in.

Love Amy. I just about burst out laughing at her reaction to the tiara. Also wonder if Sheldon has ever held a koala. I heard they smell nasty.

2:30 You can tell that Sheldon is not an ordinary man when you ask him "How was your day?" and he gives a long composed answer instead of a simple "Fine" 😅

7:42 - "Red light! Red light!" Wow - I just noticed you can actually see the reflection of the red light in the windshield. Hmmm...I wonder if they actually had a moving red light in the studio (since the car they're in I don't think is actually moving)? Or was that reflection added in post?

Tiara and pocketwatch - truly, they were made for each other (even if one of them is kind of a jerk most of the time). But boy, I can't decide whether the Howard-Bernadette storyline aged better or worse, based on later seasons... On the one hand, many parents have expressed that they like their own children more than most other children. And Bernadette being forced to look after kids vs choosing to have her own is different. But Howard faces significantly fewer physical and career repercussion from having children than Bernadette does, so she ultimately has say. SPOILERS I kind of wish we had seen the "Howard takes care of the kids, Bernadette is the breadwinner" dynamic work out in the show later on. Especially since they put Bernie through bedrest during her pregnancy. But it's in many ways more realistic that both parents have to work.

Everyone wants Sheldon to just feel empathy, but he can't. He is quite literally incapable of it.

I think those kids were to old for those tricks. He should've known that

Just once, I'd like to have a show where a character says, "I don't want kids" and they get to stick to it. They always show not wanting kids as a phase that everyone eventually grows out of.

I like how whenever Sheldon is trying to make an argument he always goes with like 2 or 3 answers that makes some semblance of sense and then the third or fourth one goes completely off the rails.

I get where Bernadette is coming from. I also don't like kids. When they're 1-9, they're obnoxiously loud and it stresses me up. And when they're 10-13 they're snarky and moody. Especially those zoomer kids who were raised by the internet.
