Is it me or was Tibalt revealed abit to soon. Like they could have kept his identity hidden for abit in the story, like i know that they have revealed the cards but wouldnt it be better keeping the main villian hidden abit before bring out the villian's true identity. I agree with you, they could have kept the god of lies in abit longer, like even could have fooled kaya and gave them fake infomation under the disguise of a god.

So our new elf walker has a mitus touch take on the properties of a substance and apply it to anything contacted object or entity thats incredible considering the types of materials in the multiverse like silver or the hexahedrons with imprisoned demons angels walkers and eldrazi

OK so in the first chapter kaya used alot of mana to use her phase ability, and now she's using it with no downside. And seeing through tibalts illusion which to me the gods couldn't see through..... Damn it she is using the powers of plot armor and plot convenience she knows the forth wall she needs to be eliminated.

Tyvar kell not knowing he's a PW is fun I still want a actual book for this story but its still great I also like the transmutation ability of tyvar kell he's like a character from full metal alchemist brother hood

Quite honestly, I’m enjoying this story. It has a little more guesswork than the other ones, and has a much more diverse and fleshed out world we get to experience (not that other sets didn’t have developed worlds, but those areas didn’t get much meaningful interaction with the story).

Volki still plays a part in the story because the other gods do not know the truth. Because he's realm hopping he's probably still going to cause chaos as Volki up until Kaya and Elf Boy catches up to him.

While I liked the personal misunderstanding of the native PW to don't know he left Kaldheim (assuming for them this distinction makes sense at all)... his way of doing it worry me. Because it's not a personal trasportation, it's a portal, a portal he fully believe Kaya can walk in too. So something he know other can use... So, he is able to move people around across the planes (breaking again the monopoly of planar travel for PW only) or for dumb luck he always moved other people with him only when he crossed the Cosmos but never the Blind eternity. It's also noteworhy to notice that PW's spark works weirdly on Kaldheim as it didn't allow the PW to cross the Cosmos but it actually does because the PW can go and leave Kaldheim... I see the narrative reason for this, but when you see it for a completelly mechanical point of view is a lot weird

11:00 how serious can any threat be to ANY planeswalker if they can just planeswalk away from any situation and danger? that is one of the reasons why the war of the spark had so much potention to be the climax of mtg storytelling.

Tibalt may be revealed to Kaya and now Tyvar (and the reader), but he has not been revealed to anyone else in Kaldheim. I suspect he stays 1 step ahead of Kaya and Tyvar in the next chapter, meeting with the various tribes in the various realms while still under disguise as the God of Lies.

I don't think it was actually Tibalt. I think it was the god of lies. That is why the trolls were willing to do his bidding. And that he was getting the trolls ready to fight back during the doomscar.

Why would the god of lies tell everybody that he's the god of lies? That's the worst introduction I have ever seen. It's a recurring theme of storytelling for recent sets that the ideas are interesting but the execution is terrible.

HAHAHA tibalt is not the main antagonist...not directly atleast yes he was going to cause some chaos to kaldheim but after reading chapter 3 and that a certain "Horrible beast" have seeded him with a "poison" and was going to "kill him" if he didn't agree to his therms....lmao spoilers: Tibalt walked on phyrexia for a time, get ambushed by dear vorinclex infected him glistening oil and if he don't do what he ask tibalt would be dead, now that put vorinclex on a new level as the "stupid" monster is finally quit intelligent in the end

Seriously, didn't Chandra and Ajani (?) catch him after he tormented her on Theros, didn't they lock him up in a "supernatural" prison on Ravnica? Again they can't keep their information on point, so inconsistent

The story is rubbish. The writting is really bad. From tibalts intro and fleeing, to the intro of the new elf dude. It feels like they're trying too hard to make it mystyrious, when the story doesn't feel like a mystery at all. yeah, poor, poor story telling.

I really miss a well written lore story. This ain't it. It's very sloppy and lazy writting. The introduction of the elf is so pushed that it makes me sad. Also the actions of Tibalt are pretty freakin random fr someone that is planning something "big". There's a metric shit ton that is missing, almost like: - Just write something that introduces the characters and the realm of kaldheim, don't bother to develop and flesh out. - Sir yes sir. - Oh and make it short. The same mistakes that they made for the War of the spark lore (and others) seems to be present.

I am really dissapointed that all of the potentially interesting dialogue was reduced to basic summary.

To be completely honest I'm kinda disappointed... I do understand the necessity for diversity, even among villains, but going from years of Bolas plannibg in the shadows to Tibalt doing it "for the LOLZ" it's... It's kinda like going from a refined meal to a frozen meal... You can still like it, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the first one. Also, while I do understand that the trailer and the spoilers already, well, "spoiled" us who the villain was, was it really necessary to unveil the BBEG in the 2nd chapter? I know that these stories are meant for people who already play MtG and know the cards and the lore, but a book (or an online chapter) should be written to be good regardless: the big reveal has an impact and a meaning only if the story previously managed to create an interest in the mistery we have at hand! Can you imagine if the text at the beginning of "Star Wars: a new hope" went: "The galaxy is threatened by Darth Vader, who is secretly the father of Luke and Leia". The most iconic reveal in cinema history would mean nothing! Kudos for the elf, though: a himbo elf who doesn't even realize he's a PW is hilarious!
