Tibetan subsistance logging in Yunnan, China (Kham, Tibet). Tibetans skidding logs from the mountains with dzo (yak cross cow hybrid). It takes them about five years to accumulate enough logs to build a house.

J.L. Roberts well the nose ring is only to give them a nudge so they can do the job. It’s not to kill them! Plus nomad don’t raise animals to stew they herd them for domestic help🙏🏽 I’ve hardly seen nomads eating meat everyday. The animals are precious for their survival. I hope you don’t judge just because of this one clip!

@@parthasarathimukherjee9227 Your comparison is not quite right. The nose of a woman and heavy animal are not equal in constuctivly. Woman's are get pierced their nose ,ear only for to use ornaments. You may ask them if you have respected lady in your family that what do they feel to wear nose ring or earrings. Roughly Pulling the rope which tied up through a animals nose may be irritating for the animals this is why a heavy domestic animal remain calmness and under control. If you have any better and suitable alternative option or technic than pearcing nose tell me, I should opted it in a next as a owner of a animal.

Such as what? These are poor mountain people. Not likely they have money to build roads and buy trucks, plus the equipment needed to lift the logs up to the trucks. The oxen are treated much more humanely than in many other places.

Have mercy to those buffalo who carry such a heavy timber but if that's the only way to carry that timber where it should be placed it's better for them 'cause they can't carry it by themselves I admire them for thinking that buffalos will work for them w/ the right and intelligent process how it will work, good job men!
