We are back with a Car Profile! Car Profiles give you the information about the car and where the car currently sits in terms of Balance of Performance. If there is an update to the Balance of Performance or Physics I will do my best to update you in a follow up video or via the website.

Car Profile FAQ;
- Why Maximum RPM and not Maximum Performance on the Fuel Test? This is because not everyone uses bumper so they can't see the rev range. They can however see the Bar and that's why we use that. It also gives you an indication at how good it is at saving fuel because when we go to shortshifting you can see the difference with saving fuel as well as the performance.
- Why are you using Tyre Wear? This is because the official Balance of Performance is done using Fuel and Tyre wear so will be more accurate.
- Why Optimum over Fastest Laps? Because it's easier to get 10 individual best sectors than to get 10 best laps. You could blitz a sector 3 1 lap and a sector 2 the next lap and combined they create the optimum lap and a better picture.
- Why are you doing 10 laps? This is because after that I feel tyre wear and fuel becomes more impactful.
- Why Racing Medium tyres? I use this tyre as it's the "Middle" tyre in racing compounds. I feel the cars should be MOST balanced on this tyre in my opinion
- Why no RAIN Test? a Rain test would not give the full picture because light rain is different to medium and heavy and cars react differently in each of the variations. No test would be the same and so would not be very informative.
- What does the number in brackets mean on the Fuel Tests? This is how much fuel was saved from the FM1 run. The bigger the number the more it saved.

Some of these cars really need a rework for their bop, its not even balance of power when cars are so unbalanced

They are all too distant between each and another one , if they all will be in 1 sec. Maybe more fun???

The power issue that you describe also persists with the Ford GT GTE car and something ACO themselves struggled with, it had very little drag. It can reach very high speeds even at its current BoP, give it more power and it dominates high and medium speed tracks too (apart from bathurst) because you end up giving it much better acceleration One other real life example I can give you is the Cadillac DPi-V.R’s 2017 version. It had the 6.2L V8 and had insane torque, thus insane acceleration and dominated the season. IMSA couldn’t BoP the thing properly no matter what they did so they ended up banning NA engines bigger than 5.5L, so Cadillac ended up switching to a smaller engine

Back when the BRZ GT300 was first released into GT7 I love this car a lot on the same level as the 650S GT3 due to having similar characteristics (and unfortunate similar weaknesses being slow acceleration) being it has decent top speed, very grippy in the corners, good on tyres and fuel (for me at least) but that was in the older version of GT7's car physics at the time since it was a beginner friendly car, I have great memories of this car especially in league races. Unfortunately in the current game physics as well as the recent BoP change, I just can't drive the car anymore not matter what I do and make you wonder how Top Split drivers like manage to get this car into the Manufacturer World Finals? Guess the BRZ is becoming a specialist cars only for those that know what they do best in how to get results in positions the car normally shouldn't be at. PS. If we talk about Rolling Starts at it's the default way we use in Dailies & GTWS these days, the BRZ is by far the worst since you'll be overtaken at the start within 5 seconds due of it's horrible acceleration.

I think the poor brakes are due to the fact that the BRZ has almost 200kgs of ballast like the DBR9. So, keeping the same braking power, but with way more weight it doesn't help with hard braking points

When did that happen? Because it very recently had a 5KG weight reduction in last BOP but it got a big power reduction so its brakes should be better 😂

@@Rapid_GT yeah, but the original weight is 1150kgs without BoP. With BoP it goes up to 1350kgs. Even the DBR9 got nerfed (power wise), but weights almost 200kgs more

@@valeriosilvestri7369 Well because the BRZ is a GT300 car so a different spec entirely, it would be naturally faster than a GT3 car without the BOP, but looking at GT Engine latest BOP info, the average bhp and weight of the Gr3 cars is 516bhp and 1,317 kgs , the BRZ is below the average bhp and heavier than the average weight, so in other words it hasn't been BOPd properly.

@@Rapid_GT yeah, but consider that GT300 cars have way more refined aero. So that's why the BRZ can compete with other Gr3 cars. What loses in acceleration gains through corners, but the added weight kills the braking power. Remember that they added 200kgs and not 20-30kgs (which are already a lot of ballast)

I was very interested in this car profile in particular to see what readings you would find out with this car. Very interesting what you found out, i knew for sure on tires it would be great, everything else the car is just to difficult to find pace in. From the time this car was released, i always found it so difficult to be fast with in my opinion. I'm not sure how they (PD) could get this car faster to be honest. Maybe your suggestion with the weight could make it get more power but significantly weaken its cornering ability and maybe its tires as well? On rolling starts it gets dusted like jeez. That makes it feel like an entirely different class of car in terms of acceleration. That just shouldnt be the case. Other cars shouldnt absolutely destroy another car in the same class in acceleration like that.

The power delivery and slow-ish linear acceleration is because the car is already heavily reduced in performance. Its has a inlet restrictor and its carrying significant ballast due to the light weight of the Mother Chassis. As a result of those two things, the car has a small turbo, and produces massive torque to help improve efficiency with the restrictor, and manage the added weight. Torque, as a component of performance, is significantly harder to restrict than all out HP. And there ia little you can do inside of the rules to knock that torque level down. Hence why Big Blocks abd Diesels are largely banned in nearly every racing series now, you just cant control it. You can limit HP easily, but no matter if you restrict the inlet, or reduce RPM, you just retune to make more low end torque, regear, and the performance is right back to where you were. You just make the power differently.

The Subaru is actually a JAF spec GT300 car. Cars like the Apr GT 86 and LC 500 are Mother Chassis cars (These are the same chassis that used to have the Prius body on them)

I suspect that'll be as BoP isn't applied in single player, the second BoP is applied it nukes it which is unfortunate. Although I need to test with the new BoP test

I've had issues with this car as you either drive all the other GR3 cars as they drive generally in a similar way or the BRZ where you have to drive it in one way or you will be slow in it. We need PD to reduce the downforce levels to the level of the other GR3 cars and then go from there. This car will always be OP or terrible. Never in the middle unless they make that change with the downforce. This will obviously bring other issues like you said, where the BRZ is really efficient on the straights. Goodluck Gran Turismo to balance this.😂

The BRZ got Nerfed on power and a tiny weight decrease, even before the nerf it had the least bhp out of all GR3 cars but that's relative to its weight ofc so looks like it needs that power back and maybe add a more and add weight. I always found this car fun to drive but I don't recall the brakes being crap, maybe the BOP altered something! Can't think what though. Next car - Subaru WRX for comparison makes sense 😃👍 P.S. Just had a quick look on GT Engine, the average BHP for Gr3 is 516bhp - so its way off

Hey Tidge, you always show the bop values for low, med & high speed circuits but am I right in thinking they never actually vary? In which case maybe they should, & if they don't I guess we only need to see the one value.

this car really never gets a chance to shine with the current races gt7 give us. it benefits a lot from a little tuning, then it runs with very little tyre wear. in races where softs and mediums are required for example you can stay out on softs much longer than other cars.

MR car? That's strange, the car in real life is an FR car. Curiously though Tidgney, consistently testing on these tracks for the car profiles, do you think that you, yourself, are getting better and faster at these tracks because you put so much practice in on these tracks? For example, could you get back in a car you already profiled and get a better lap time because you have put more practice in for the track than before the profile on any particular car? I meant that in the sense that I don't believe you reached your peak performance for racing, and that you continue to improve by putting in the practice.

I'll need to rewatch as I definitely said FR, I know I talked about FR vs FR and MR vs MR. I don't think so, it may change by a tenth maybe and always happy to retest some of the earlier cars. But I am very much at or near the top of my performance GT wise so there will be very little change in that regard. But the retests also show how performance doesn't change based on practice (Jag video is good for that if you haven't seen it 😊)

This car is so weird dude, it sucks and is great at the same time. Slow as dog shit but it is great on technical sectors. There are some tracks, unfortunately I can't remember which ones, that it is the meta but it is so bad at everything else. The RSR, GT-R, Genesis, AMG and M6 are usually good at everything but this this crushes them on like 2 tracks but nothing else.
