Fun fact, the TIE Bomber appeared in the Marvel Star Wars comic before its debut in The Empire Strikes Back, making it the first story element to migrate from a licensed story to the big screen.

I think they already played it at that moment. When talking about the TIE Defender Elliot said "It might not be playable", days later it turned out to be an AI fighter. He must have known.

I doubt that he'll do a full video on the canon at the moment, since it has only been established 2 years ago and has a bit less content. It'll probably have just as much content by the next 10 years though, maybe even more so, but as of now, we only have the main saga, (The Original, Prequel and Sequel trilogies) 2009 Clone Wars, Rebels and a few comics to rely on right now. I'd suggest to wait until the sequel trilogy is finished at the very least...

I don't know how you use it in the Death Star update on battlefront. I flew into the token but I wasn't sure how to become a bomber pilot. Then I got shot down.

You can't fly them. The token spawns the ship as an AI teammate AFAIK.

no they don't, only upgraded versions have shields and hyperdrive, same with the interceptors!
