LOVE THIS!! Those colors are gorgeous. I’m adding amethyst to my cart right now. I appreciate how you give shoutouts to your inspo’s. Watching Casual Collisions got me through the whole “what have you” last year. He’s so mellow, I’d watch him at work on my lunch break because everything else was so weird. Fun Endeavors... she’s so concise. IDK if she’s a teacher in real life, but she gives good lessons. You sound like a friend I’d like to hang with and play with crazy ideas!

Amethyst is gorgeous!! You won’t be disappointed. Katie, same here! I turned to tie dye to get through quarantine and was hooked right out of the gate! There is something so satisfying about taking a white shirt or whatever and turning it into a kaleidoscope of colors. Most everyone in the tie dye community are awesome people. I’m obsessed with tie dye and can talk about it all day! 😘❤️🌈

We all stand on the shoulders of others learning from one another, sharing is a terrific way to advance the hobby! I too wash many shirt together with no bleed - the soda ash is pretty well removed during the initial wash out so it's neutral. On the first wash I'll even throw in clothes that aren't natural fiber like black socks or under armor shirts, never an issue with bleed. On the second wash I usually have a pile of dirty tie-dye to add that need laundering. Can confirm that not folding in half works well for saturation on this fold! More work adding the dye though and maybe not as symmetrical top to bottom. Honestly in the pics I didn't notice the fold you were pointing out, it looked great! Dye on the hands can be removed pretty easily with a quick squirt of liquid bleach. I keep a spray bottle at the sink and just mist my hands VERY lightly, rub them together, and then rinse and soap. I never leave it on long but wow the dye on my hands disappears in seconds!

I have no shame in admitting I learned from watching another tutorial. Heck, I taught myself by watching KZfaq and asking Dharma a bunch of questions. I don’t have issues with bleeding during the wash cycle because I rinse well and ice dyes are pretty much rinsed out already. As far as dye on my hands I mostly don’t care and wear it as a badge of honor. It rinses away within a couple days on its own. I dye my hair purple so I get a lot of staining... 😜 ❤️🌈

@BelladonnaDyesCo3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can do this pattern with liquid. You might not get the streaks and you definitely won’t get the color splits. The vertical lines will be more pronounced. Give a whirl. I’m curious what you come up with.
@andreawells6412 жыл бұрын
I thought the yellows and purples next to each other would not turn out well but it's so pretty! How much time do you spend rinsing each shirt in the sink? I feel like it's taking me FOR. EVER. to get the water to run mostly clear. Oh! And I'm glad to know about washing several shirts together. I was just thinking about that earlier tonight as I was rinsing my kids projects.
@BelladonnaDyesCo2 жыл бұрын
The “brown” worry is perpetuated. A little blending is fine… It depends on the color. Blues take the longest to rinse, then the reds. Liquid takes longer than ice. I’d say on average 5 minutes. The bathrobe took a solid 10+ minutes. I’m very comfortable washing many t-shirts together, especially if they are like colors. If I’m protecting white they get washed alone. The last three single color dyes I washed together because they were so light. Rainbows I wash together because if you think about it, all the colors are there. If you rinse well and use Keiralon you will have no issues. ❤️🌈

Great shirt! One question on ice dying this design: did you apply powder to both sides, or only one? Thanks for your time.
@BelladonnaDyesCo2 жыл бұрын
I think I only did the one side. I don’t 100% remember. If I flip it and add dye to the back I will show it. I don’t leave anything out or try to mislead viewers in any way. ❤️🌈

@BelladonnaDyesCo3 жыл бұрын
Candace, I did not flip it and repeat. I checked the back and there was enough dye coming through. When you watch my tutorials, if I flip it and add more dye I will show it, or at least try to explain it. I hope this helps. 😁❤️🌈
