The Bob-father speaks wisdom and I am grateful for everything he has been so generous to share with mere mortals like myself.

Him and Jody seemed to take most of the nervousness out of the learning curve . At least those early videos when learning the process, where everything's nerve racking . lol There's a few more good teachers now, but these guys were the trail busters . Imagine when they learned, how it must have been ... The learning curve had to be insane . lol

Just bought a new Everlast 210EXT machine and ran my first TIG bead ever last night. It was a mess. Watching this video illustrated exactly what I was doing wrong - too much heat, too long an arc. Suffice it to say that your video was timely and very helpful for this neophyte wanna-be TIG welder. As always, thanks much for sharing, Bob. Steve

Trick I learned to tack small gauge material for outside corners, lay both flat next to each other then autogenous weld the ends where they meet. Then press against corner of table and bend to 90 degrees. Perfect corners EVERYTIME.

Thank you for the very helpful information. I appreciate your videos very much. I'm kind of self teaching myself to TIG weld I have an inexpensive DC only machine I have stick welded and mig welded. I am doing my best to absorb the information you guys are giving. Thank you you're awesome!

Bob - Great info/video as always. I was watching; didn't see your fingers as close to the cup this time, but as you mentioned this wasn't a lot of amperage anyway. Thanks again!

Bob thank you for the refresher stuff I have been watching a lot of the videos for the little stuff I have been doing around the house. Now I have a question about aluminum, I’m having trouble getting the stack of dimes what can I do differently to make them come out? Some times the bead is wavy and flat and sometimes the bead looks oxidized any tips

I'd like to see more of a top-down camera angle instead of from the side. I can't see the puddle you're pushing or a lot of what you're describing. Other than that I like your channel and I've learned a lot. Keep up the good work!

Beginner Tig welder here and I'm having quite the challenge with the dabbing and it is hard to tell in videos the motion that is used; do you dab into the puddle or do you let the arc melt off the front of the filler?

second question related to dabbing; I'm practicing on 20 gauge sheet metal (automotive) with Tig and i find I have to dab multiple times to get the filler to actually melt but any higher setting and it blows through the metal; any suggestions?

Anyone here own a Miller Diversion 180 tig? Had a huge *POP!* emit from the welder with flames and smoke. Looked at some forums, had people tell me it'd be around $1200 to fix. Anyone out there have the same happen to them?

Kaden Watt I don’t have that welder but generally when tools emit the mysterious blue smoke and/or flame they aren’t worth fixing 😂

Jim Hunt oh, go away. This is one of the easiest thing to do when welding. But like he says, you have to practice. You can do simple things like this on your own, hence these videos. But to go through a course for professional certifications, you need to do a lot more.
