I feel like this is such an elitist concept. Real country music comes from being poor and working all day in order to be able to eat properly. It brings up the repressed feelings of a society bound by work and christian values, that are usually soothed by lichor or acts that comes from poor emotional devlopment. You ain't telling me Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and The Highwaymen have nothing of value to say. I can't and won't defend some categories of modern country, however. But I do believe this is an elitist thought from someone who never lived this reality or is running away from it's own background.

Tig talking about “staying present”while pulling out her phone to look at cat pictures, and then calling her friend during her **Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien** appearance, and then referring to Conan as “this guy” to her friend (probably almost a decade ago by now) remains one of my top, all time favorite, most hilarious things I’ve ever seen on a late night show 😂🤣 **Tig** - “Hey what’s up?” **Friend** - “Just sitting here with my cat. What are you doing?” **Tig** - “Nothin.”

If anyone cares to know..... Anthony "Ant" Anstead, is an English mechanic and TV presenter. He came to California to replace Edd China as the mechanic on "Wheeler Dealers"( which was a quaint English show with a car dealer, and a mechanic, who would buy, fix and flip cars, in fun, informational, and entertaining way. At some point the American network "Velocity"(now Motor Trend) took over production and moved production from London-ish to LA-ish. After a couple seasons, the mechanic, Edd China, left. They brought Ant in to replace him. While working on the show, he got involved with, married and had a son with Christina Haack(El Moussa/Anstead/Hall) who is a TV Real estate investor/flipper with her first Husband Tarrek El Moussa. She and Ant split up around the beginning of the pandemic. Ant has since also left Wheeler Dealers, and some new bloke named Elvis has replaced him.

I feel their pain. At work, I meet 1,000 people a night... 1,000. I've worked their over 1,000 days... that's over 1,000,000 people I've met (including Tig). I can barely remember my co-workers names and faces let alone that person I met 2 weeks ago.

I've worked in front of house in theatre for 20 + years and l struggle to recognise people outside of work. I've often wondered if something is wrong with me. I would be relieved if there is some kind of facial blindness that l could explain to people. Covid and masks in the last few years only made it worse.

it's sooo much fun to sit and talk about the utterly mundane and exceedingly ordinary lives of us humans, isn't it ? The last time I think I had this much fun hearing about the totally unimportant, I was in line at the 7-11 on Pico....
