I show you how to remove the panels and fuel tank from a Triumph Tiger 800 Mk1 so that you can get underneath to replace the air filter and spark plugs, plus get access to the throttle bodies, linkage and idle stepper motor.

This was super helpful. It looks like my side tank bolts are 6mm *shrugs*

I watched another video on this subject by another popular Tiger 800 youtuber. Your video included details like how to disconnect the fuel line and electrical plugs and that made yours much better for me. Thank you. Yes, I also wanted to know if the fuel would stay in the tank when the fuel line was removed. (yes)

Cheers for the instruction vids Gary. They’ll come in very handy when I come to service the bike myself.

Hi. Thanks for the great video. May be a daft question, but do you need to empty the fuel tank before removing? Keep up the videos👍🏻

Thank you for a great question. The tank will not drain fuel when you disconnect the hose, but the less fuel, the lighter the tank will be and the easier to move around. I'd suggest you have less than 5 litres (a gallon).
