I dont get how Benji keeps going back to the club that discarded. They could have had one club players in Farrah and Benji sure their form declined at the end. But if they had better players around them then their experience would have paid dividends.

With all due respect to Benji Marshall, he has no real experience with coaching. He hasn’t had the apprenticeship that an assistant coach or a coach of younger players in the lower grade competitions. Certainly, assistant coaches have struggled in their first years as head coach, e.g. Ciraldo Benji has not done the hard yards to be a head NRL coach. While Sheens had a great coaching career in the NRL and internationally he’s done the right thing by moving on. Also I think Buzz picked this one about the hiring of Sheens.

I think this problem has been there for quite some time as they have only made the finals twice since the merger, we keep hearing that even in this merger it is split

I think it's important to understand that Benji Marshall and Billy Slater have something in common. The public had little belief and confidence in Billy Slater pulling off the origin victory, well they had to eat their words and so it is for Benji Marshall. Benji Marshall is highly underrated. My belief is that he will pull off the unthinkable. In fact the Tigers club needs him more than he needs the club. I think Benji will be like a saviour for them. Like every team it needs the goods to be in the top 4. Hopefully Benji calls on prospective new players that will believe in him.

Wests Tigers have been the worst run club in the NRL for over a decade now and it doesn't look like that is changing anytime soon. The great Jack Gibson said "Winning starts at the front office".

Rookie coaches. Try Garth Brennan at the Titans. Didn’t last two seasons. Benji has a really difficult job next year.

The 3 bottom dwellars would do well to pay attention to History. Many years ago, two ex-players started their coaching career at Souths and Manly. Both teams endured horrible seasons and the knives were out. Many stuck with their coach.Souths sacked theirs. The Manly coach was Des Hasler. The Manly teams under Hasler went through a mini golden age with several GF appearances and 2 premierships. Souths became a basket case rivaling the current day Tigers, Dragons and Dogs. History teaches a lesson that struggling clubs should learn.

Funny enough their best coach they had since 2012 is now 2x premiership winning coach at the panthers i know tigers fans are still upset with the way he left but that is the type of coach they need right now someone like a Ivan Cleary, someone that can bring the best out of the players even beyond their potential like luke brooks i mean he was the coach when he won dally m halfback of the year in 2018 i don't care if people say ohh he paid overs for players that's because he had to because there was no one on the market at that time after they let go of mosses and tedesco which wasn't Cleary decision to let them go and i believe he got the best out of what they had!

Broncos came last in 2020 and look at them now. I wish they would kick Hooper, Sheens has coached 4 premiership wins, only Wayne Bennett has coached more winners, is Wayne Bennett past it? Hooper has never laced a boot, who is he to disrespect Sheens. Sheens was there to protect Benji from the likes of Hooper and he did his job, the problem at the Tigers is the upper management.

4 or 5 year plan what a load of rubbish . Good coach have success in the 1st or 2nd year . Look at Bennett Webster Cleary Bellamy etc .If you don’t have some sort of success in the 1st or 2nd year , you’ll never have it.
