The girl getting on point on a platform is joy from red velvet (a kpop group). So she didn’t have any choice and they couldn’t hire a professional dancer bc logically they are not from the group 🥲 poor joy

Hey Josephine! Zack (the bananas baseball player) is actually a trained dancer! He guests with the Savannah Ballet Theatre when he’s not on the field and has been my partner in one of our ballets. He’s super fun to dance with!

I love these!!! I’ve always wanted to be a Prima Ballerina, but unfortunately that was never in the cards. But I’ve always been obsessed and fascinated by ballet. Please do more of these!!!

Yeah same. I feel like deep down we all want to be prima ballerinas hey? I feel jealous of the people who's moms put them in rhythmic gymnastics and ballet from like age 3 and grew up to be crazy talented and athletic

@@andynonymous6769 right!? I did a few months of ballet when I was 3, but I don’t think we could afford it then. Though, my mom always said it was because I didn’t pay attention, even though I was only 3. I don’t hold it against her, but ugh. Wish I could have grown up in ballet. Maybe I wouldn’t have all these health issues because my body would have been stronger 😂

I’ve actually hand applied hotfix crystals to dance costumes professionally in the past. I was a hand beader in a costume shop in NYC. Those shoes have very small hotfix stones, and the pair probably would have taken me a day of work. Not to brag or anything, but I was very fast with hand hotfixing, I had a hot plate and two pairs of tweezers and I was like a machine.

Fun fact the clip at @6:38 is the behind the scene for Red Velvets photo shoot. They didn’t get ballerinas because they wanted the actual singers doing these poses.

I'd love to see your thoughts on the anime Dance Dance Danseur! It's about a boy who falls in love with Ballet and is self taught, who ends up going into classical ballet and totally nailing it (After a lot of hard work and self reflection). :D I thought it was absolutely wonderful! ^^

“My friend let me borrow her point shoes…” Seriously? What ballet student would risk a pair of brand new pair of point shoes being damaged by someone untrained and unsupervised. More likely it’s “I’m trying out my roommates new point shoes while she’s out so she won’t catch me doing it.”

I would be happy to rhinestone a pair of pointe shoes for you! I did some with larger "stones" for decoration in the dance wear store I worked at before the world went bonkers. Sadly our little store couldn't recover from the major hit it took when we had to shut down and ended up closing for good. For yours I would use better, smaller stones of course.

Josephine USF on that sweatshirt is university of southern Florida 😂 green is their primary color and I saw the Bull logo on it. Also the Savannah bananas are a super popular minor league team that is very much into the entertainment aspect of the game rather than just the game itself their games sell out a lot I think.
