Beautiful transformation and preparation for your Tiki party. SUGGESTION FOR INSECT FREE PARTY: Next year, purchase several large multi packages of Irish Spring soap. Cut the soap bars into chunks and spread soap chucks the throughout your deck, breezeway, yard, etc. to get rid of the insects. It really works to have a bug free party.

I've never been to Hawaii or even heard of a Tiki party till now. I'm so impressed and want to have one too! Everything looked absolutely beautiful. I wish I had friends like you and your lovely family. I have to say though, I think I was the most impressed by the Tiki Taxi, it was just the right amount of over the top cheesiness I absolutely love! Props to you both for hosting such an amazing and memorable time for everyone! 🌺🌴🥥🚕

Laying in bed binging on Mrs. CALDWELL'S CONTENT AGAIN!!!! I went to hunt & gather in MPLS last weekend because you prompted me to do so and spent like 5 hours there. Your party turned out so beautiful with all your thrifty finds! The fruit and nuts really added color to the wood bowls and trays along with the flowers in the vases. I admired the mask you put in the tropical wreath to jazz it up. And I loved the Tiki Taxi! What a creative idea! Thank you for sharing the prep and part of the party with us!

That giant green mug $32 would make a good planter for a bromeliad. It would give the floral effect, but not will the way within a couple weeks. I love your tiki madness! I am also a slow accumulator for projects.

I work for a grocery store. When make to fruit balls. Start at outer then work in and turn in circle motion then they becomes balls and you use the whole fruit I'll send you a vidio for next time

Hello Laura, Thank you for your videos. Since watching many interests and connections have come up for me. In my late 50's reconnecting to what I love after so many years is thrilling. First off, I was raised in Oregon. Your adventures around the state is heartwarming. Next, saving beautiful craftmanship and artistry from the landfill. Yesterday I practice your tips at Goodwill. Picking up what looks real to find it light. Seeing a piece that again, looked like real craftmanship to turn it over and find "Pier One Imports". Amongst all the stuff was a few pieces of Italian pottery. I've also love the flowery china from England and found several lovely pieces. However, as a nomad, I'll be focusing on Jewelry. Your tips about going to curated stores, finding groups on Facebook, and such are appreciated.----I also flipped my wardrobe as I found styles and colors that express outwardly what I feel inwardly. Looking forward to continuing to learn and share your enthusiasm. Enjoy!

Aloha! Thrifting some beautiful seashells could add an organic element to your Tiki decor and could be beautiful year round on display too. Inexpensive seashell and wooden necklaces could be fun party favors or just laid draped out in the voids as decor. Fishing nets, glass floats, paper umbrellas as picks...you got my creative ideas flowing :) Looks like you all had a great time!

Your party was a great tiki experience! It reminded me of years ago when I won a state of the art first class trip to Hawaii for my humanity endeavors! To reduce melon waste, try scooping out the seeds from the center cavity. Then, make the melon balls on one side, or from the center all the way down until you are near the rind. That way, you get all the sweet flesh, but the remaining melon is still in an easy to serve section. You can cut away the hollowed-out part of the shell and you have a melon slice you can just wrap in clingfilm, etc. You could also use the remaining melon carnage for making sherbet, vegan “ice cream “ by whizzing it with a banana in the blender, alcoholic blender drinks, or packaging it in freezer bags for a quick breakfast smoothies. You know. I’m pretty sure if you just throw the chunks in a bowl and drown them in vodka, Cover and chill overnight, something People enjoy will happen.

Funny you mention that because 15 years ago my dad considered buying an event center space and I would have been in charge of planning parties (he’d take care of the funerals 😂) In another life it would have been a dream job.
