Hey mate... thanks. Yeah it's actually not that straightforward to capture the sound in a way that's authentic. I find the trick is to record the sound from behind. Even with a really good microphone the shockwave and noise level will make the mic "shut down" so to speak. I had a RODE shotgun mic behind the gun pointing forward. I've only ever taken off the muzzle brake twice and can't say it left any marks. It only threads onto the barrel's thread which you can cover with the thread protector again. However one thing to keep in mind is that the muzzle brake changed the point of impact for me. So you may have to sight it in again whenever you change the setup. Cheers

@@AlexSwan Thanks Pal. That makes sense with the sound. I’m just getting into the sport so a complete rookie - but you can tell your sound is better then most, IMO. Im soooo looking forward to trying the rifle. Gosh it much be a pleasure to fire? The scope is the problem now…. I didn’t realize the big budget required for that. 😳. Cheers from Canada.

@@alexpearson8481 Yeah Tikka is great in general. Obviously you get that buttery smooth action and great accuracy. As for the scope, it really depends on what you want to do with the rifle. I had an el cheapo 3-9 scope on it first which worked great. Only bought the Leupold as I wanted to get into more long range stuff. You'll love it. Cheers from 'Straya.
