Panda is a really specific craving. I never think to myself “oh I want Chinese food, let’s go to Panda Express!” The same way I never think “oh I want Mexican food, let’s go to chipotle!” I’ve just accepted that they get their own homes in my palette community.

Not all Panda Express locations are equal. We have 2 out 7 in our area that are fire. We have a Safeway China Express that has Mr Chinese papa that cooks for them. Its better than all the high priced take out places. Just saying. Its your neighborhood

I completely agree. Those noodles are disgusting. It's like eating Ramen that's been cooked for 30 seconds. I only can eat the orange chicken and fried rice if I eat there.

I always get the orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp with half steamed rice and half lo mein (they call it chow mein). Plus the rangoon and passion fruit iced tea. 😋❤️

The Chow Mein is my favorite (but you have to add a packet of soy sauce and a packet of the chili sauce). The Orange Chicken is my obsession and the Biejin Beef is really good. I'll have to try the Com Pow Chicken next time. Their rice is horrible!

Best time to go, right when they open and all other places…. I only have Panda maybe once or twice a year, I’m not really a fan of Asian food whether from real restaurants or fast food … I tend to only get the grilled chicken or orange chicken from there

Damn, in my small town we have this family run house of hunan and 🔥, wish u could try it, everything comes out made fresh, they do a sunday buffet and still everything is hot and nice, not sure how dumbed down it is as far as Chinese food goes but, makes me wish i could trade it for u lol 😅, AND they make their own hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce *chefs kiss*

I know this is terrible but I worked in a mall when I was pregnant with my first baby and mannnn this little boy had me eating that lo mein 2x a day if I was lucky! Sometimes I would go to work early so I could just get a side of it before work and then for lunch and if I couldn’t make it before work I stopped after work. 😅 lmao but I’ve been eating Panda Express since I was like 16 lol you definitely have to go when it’s fresh or else it doesn’t taste the best. We’ve had an order just taste spoiled too and that was directly from the mall and we watched them portion it. 😢

When Panda first opened they had steamed brown rice and sweet and sour chicken that was so darned good! Then they removed it from the menu along with the plum sauce. I am still not happy about it.😢

Add more fish sauce and oyster sauce Because americanize Chinese food has more sugar and less fish sauce and oyster sauce because Americans can't handle it. However, majority of us do. We just don't eat out we prefer to make it at home so we can add to our liking. I forgot about white pepper. Eat it with chopsticks because you're fancy. ❤❤❤

When I went I tried orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, rice and the noodles. You were right to not get the orange chicken, it wasn’t good. It’s just too sweet for me. The honey walnut shrimp wasn’t good either but that’s only because I don’t like shrimp. The rice was weird and the noodles were okay. And then I got food poisoning. How fun.

I'm not impressed with pabda express. I love lomein noodles and had bern craving them. There is one cheap place in the mall(lotus express) near us that makes great noodles. I get them every time we go to that mall. Hubby and I saw panda express and thought it was the same chain as the mall. It was not. Their lomein is so sad. And twice the price.

It's the taste, and the dish evolved from the Hunan dish "tangerine chicken." Of course the version served is the US is a lot sweeter than the original.

Ugh I hate Panda! I go once every pink moon if I’m in a crunch on my work break. San Francisco Bay Area is the most authentic. Largest Chinese population outside China itself and in Chinatown, years ago, every place was amazing. These days, I would NEVER venture there. But even across the Bay in other safer cities, you can find great Chinese restaurants ❤
