Haha The TikTok/Ad made me by thing is totally fun! I love the look of it! I think it's a great option for folks with mobility issues, or anyone who feels nervous grasping a gaiwan and pouring.

Very interesting. I think I still prefer a regular gaiwan Haha. But very interesting creation for tea brewing! I could see this being something my sister would really love though. Will share with her. Happy Steeping!

Haven’t seen this before. I like the utility but as you said, a bit unnecessary but fun. Hmm…might get me to brew gong fu more often 🤔

That's exactly what I was thinking when I bought it. There are so many times I want to make tea but also can't sit down for a real dedicated session.

I got this off Amazon and I can’t figure how to remove the filter/infuser to add the ball. Help please.

They usually come up pretty easily. You might just need to slide your fingernail underneath if it's in tightly.

Is your filter able to come out? Mine is loose and easily comes out so when I put the water in it floats up a bit causing tea leaves to fall below in the ball section. Just wondering if I should do something to the filter other than place it down.

The fiilter is able to come about but I haven't had any problems with it floating out. It does have small metal legs on the underside that hold it in place. Maybe yours might have gotten bent out of shape?

Glass, too thin. Cost, too much.

To each their own. I like glass because if it's thinner, especially for the more delicate teas that might turn bitter in a thicker walled vessel that retains heat.

So it's essentially a Hario Switch but uglier...

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder I guess. 🤣 The Hario Switch doesn't have a built in filter so it wouldn't work nearly as well for tea. You also have to manually press the lever.
