A releationship is not build by just "trust". That's because trust is so easily misused. If you want to be a simp and tell her "you can do whatever, I trust you" then you'll lose her by 99% chance. This goes both ways. You need action. A releationship is not only about benefits but also about responsibilities and discipline. Why do a wife need to go outside, at night, drinking and party with male "chad-friends" while her husband is home watching the kids trusting his wife?? Calling a traditional wife's reaponisbilites in a releationship for "controlling" is just sad. Is this the new western wicked ideology, letting women have all the benefits and ZERO responisbilities, standards, cultural act and discipline?? If a woman one day wants to be some ones wife, or traditional wife, in a healthy and successful releationship or marriage then of course she needs to give away some of her illusional view of "freedom"! This is called responsibilities! She needs to have discipline, standards and cultural act and behavior as well! (Remeber, this goes both ways but the subject now is about women.) Your freedom is always limited and or taken by the world, by the rules, by the laws and by wealth! A diabetic must give up on sugar if he/she wants to live! It's still his/her freedom but sometimes you must limit your view of freedom by adapting to the situation you are in or want to be in if you want the very best outcome for you and your partner/family. It's not "controlling" or "lack of freedom" but about having a healthy and successful reletionship to work. Trust should not be misused, which it so often is. Telling your girlfriend/wife she can go outside and do whatever she wants because you trust her is a way to tell her that you don't give a F about your releationship/marriage! Does... does that guy think only military personnel/ combatants die in wars? Already in middle school I was taught that -- maybe with few exceptions, if any -- the majority of deaths in wars are civilian deaths. Does he think bombs, disease, lack of food, and lack of infrastructure just magically skip over women and only affect men? (Never mind all the sexualized violence primarily women are subjected to during wartime... )

Thank you so much for this comment!! My thoughts exactly, I wanted to punch his self-righteous *ss through the screen when he said that. I am German, both my grandmothers and their sisters lived through WWII (my paternal grandma even through WWI!), they are all long gone but they would sometimes talk about the horrific things they'd seen and endured, and you could tell it still affected them 70 years later. Stories about going without food for days, sleeping fully clothed and with shoes on to be able to sprint to the nearest bomb shelter every night and emerging from said shelters in the morning to find the bodies of your neighbors outside, leaving everything behind to flee on foot through half of Germany - my heavily pregnant great grandmother with five kids - and live in a tiny room with no heating for two years (all 7 of them!) to come back and find their home destroyed, having to do hard physical labor as teenagers to earn some food etc. Plus in the Eastern part of Germany, the revenge rapes of German women committed by the Soviets were insanely common - luckily my family wasn't affected by that as they lived in the West. Women suffered horribly in wars as well and for him to completely dismiss that "just to make a point" is absolutely appaling and disgusting. I guess it's also a very "American" POV, as they haven't had an armed conflict on their own soil in forever. Yeah, the women were safe and sound in the US when their men went to WWII, Vietnam or Afghanistan, but that sure doesnt apply to any woman in a warzone...

Sure, but they aren't going to go to the front lines. I think it is ridiculous to say that women and men suffer the same in wars. It is clearly men, and I don't think there is anything wrong with stating this simple fact. I do think it is a problem when people try to use this fact to say "men have it so hard waaah", especially when these people have never known war. Men and women need each other, and coexist. I don't understand the "woe is me" mentality of these non-veteran men who complain about war and mens' suffering. It's simply ridiculous.

Okay but like the "oohhh men go to war and the military" argument men bring up when they're trying to "outweigh women's issues" is so stupid because the whole point should be that no one should go to war???? Like literally most of art, like "All quiet on the western front" that was written by Ernest Hemingway I believe and he had served on WW1 (correct me if I'm wrong I'm too lazy to double check not sure if I remember correctly) shows how terrible war is and there's absolutely nothing to glorify about war. The last lines of Wilfred Owen's "Dulce et decorum est" always get me. Owen served on WW1 and this poem was a reply to Jesse Pope, another poet that glorified war, saying that there's absolutely nothing to be praised about (unfortunately Owen died a week before the war ended and his mother received the news of his death the day they announced peace 🥺)

For the "okay" girl i just wanna point out that it's a common technique people teach their young children to avoid conflict. Like it's a real thing. When a classmate insults you say "okay". They'll probably be mad and keep trying to insult you and by replying okay every time you'll win and they won't be so quick to get angry next time. That way your kid learns not to take insults personally and that you don't need to also insult the kid back to win an argument. The peaceful route is mature and effective. To see the technique work on a grown man trying to seem smart is pretty funny.

I would say "okay" whenever my mom yelled at me (and still do to this day) for "choosing" to be bad at math or disagreeing with her on literally anything. Just so she'd stop. The thing is.... I don't get the point he is trying to make by comparing grievances. Whilst I am 100% against conscription and drafting, and I honestly do feel bad for those men who did suffer or die... what is the point in saying "men have suffered more"? I guarantee (altho he won't admit it) it is detract from womens suffering. I would say that jews in concentration camps probably suffered more than soldiers, does that make the soldiers suffering less valid? The homeless guy who sleeps outside Brians studio is probably suffering a lot more than him, that does mean he doesn't have struggles? I honestly don't get the point he is trying to make

Also if we’re talking about women’s experiences in war, they did not have it easy. Wartime sexual violence has been a scourge since antiquity, and rape as a form of colonization still happens to this day. So even though women have been historically exempt from drafts (this isn’t the case anymore, several countries require mandatory conscription of women as well), that does not mean that they had the privilege of being shielded from the horrors of war. Wartime sexual violence is still happening at the hands of American soldiers, and countries all throughout the world in civil and ethnic conflict use rape as a tool of intimidation and revenge. Dudes like this are so gross and ignorant

Also the reason why men were the only ones that could go to wars was because war was considered glorious and honorable something that women weren't allowed to have. (Remeber, this goes both ways but the subject now is about women.) I don't know where these people come from, but it just seems like they keep announcing that relationships don't matter to them and they either plan to cheat or get cheated on. Man, it's a sad part of hell, wherever their relationship experiences are coming from. The fact that no one pointed this out makes me really think that everybody there has had nothing but terrible relationships. I also find it really weird that so many red-pillers seem to think it's almost impossible for a man in particular to not cheat. I mean, if that was true, then everyone should just give up on monogamy in the first place and all these ideas of "wifing" women up are kind of pointless. It's kind of sad when you are so much of a sex addict that you feel like you have to cheat instead of being upfront about your inability to keep it in your pants. I really do get the vibe that these guys haven't been laid much given that they keep suggesting that men have next to no standards when it comes to who they would hook up with, but they also have all these insane standards for who they would marry. Just gives me incel vibes, not alpha chad vibes. I really do think these "cool" guys have some really small dick/middle-school energy. Just grow up. Not to mention, if you were living that life, isn't discretion the way to go about it? I mean, who wants to be seen with a guy that openly talks about all the women he has casual sex with anyway? If it's not bad for your reputation, it's definitely going to look like you have bad judgement given what assholes these guys openly act like on these shows. If saying any of the things they say made them more likely to get laid by anyone, I'd be kind of surprised, to be honest. If they had it so good, they wouldn't need to brag about it and ruin it, lol.

@@alexl8445 uninformed and delusional if I deny what, the draft or enlistment numbers dropping? While yes it's true that enlistment numbers are dropping it's not an immediate grounds for applying the draft again once the number drops to a certain threshold. Maybe conscription to the defense forces, but certainly not flying over to another country to fight wars. And the reason for those enlistment numbers dropping can be a number of reasons, for example we did just come out of a terrible pandemic. But regardless, neither you or me can never really know if draft is coming back or not, that's why I used the word "probably" in my original comment. I was just busting Brian's balls, because lets face it, if the draft ever did come back, I'm betting Brian here will be the first one to shoot himself in the foot and run to Canada. But yeah, keep fishing for those female feminists and liberals...

@@PalomaDreams17 I completely agree, I just really hate when people say it’s sexist to not be comfortable with your girl doing something. It’s a surprisingly common feminist ideology that a guy saying “I’m not really comfortable with you posting that” or “I’m not comfortable with you going to this place” is controlling and manipulative. Of course it’s her choice to do whatever she wants, but that includes being in a relationship and having a partner with emotions and feelings. There’s a lot to hate about these guys, but it’s weird that Jarvis spent so much of the video on that one point. It’s probably my personal bias, but I think that people are often called controlling for trying to have boundaries and shamed for not being comfortable with everything. It took me months to finally tell my partner I wasn’t comfortable with something and it’s taken them equally long amounts of time, and I think most of it is media trying to overcorrect misogyny, and people, male or female, need to be told that they can set boundaries without being bad. If you have a past of hopping from one relationship to another, I'm gonna think you aren't a good bet on being in a lasting relationship with me. Sure if it's just hooking up I wouldn't care because that's a low-stakes interaction, but a relationship?

But yeah, keep fishing for those female feminists and liberals...

@@Iambadboy88 I'm a woman and I don't agree with most of this, really. Not every single walking woman on earth needs or wants a traditional relationship and you, generalizing all women like that, is just very ignorant. Especially since you are, most likely a man, writing this. If you are seriously that paranoid that you can't trust your own partner to go outside and party with their friends, then you shouldn't have one at all. You, writing women out like dogs, is also very misogynistic and makes you look and sound inexperienced with them. We don't need a man to "discipline" us, nor should we discipline men. The main reason why people are saying this is controlling and lack of freedom is because you say that only WOMEN should be "disciplined" while also being very against a wife to even hang out with her friends. You didn't really specify if men also have the same responsibilities, therefore you sound controlling. You're making relationships sound like hell for women and men as well. And I'm pretty sure you'll most likely respond since you post this on every single comment ever lol.

I think a lot of people are just bad at online dating tbh. My older brother has done a lot of online dating, and I remember him talking about how much it bothered him that it felt like he always had to carry the conversations with the girls who messaged him. He would make sure to ask them lots of questions about themselves and keep the conversation flowing, but there were many girls who would never ask him a single question about himself. He also went on a few online dates with girls who he said looked MUCH cuter in person than they did in their profile, a sort of reverse cat fish that he often couldn’t understand (likely people who don’t have many pictures of themselves to work with) 😅 Luckily he’s got himself a good girlfriend now, but yeah, I think a lot of people just don’t seem to put much care or effort into that stuff, where as my logical engineer of a brother was very intentional and effort-full with his profile and how he handled his online dating.
