How much honesty is needed in people to be this candid? I have never seen actors discuss intimate scenes such candidly and professionally. That depth of understanding characters show in the film and that's why it turned out so well. This movie is gem.

What an amazing marriage Tillotama must have; to feel comfortable enough to talk about how much she enjoyed kissing her co star and her husband being fine with it rather than showing insecurity in asking further questions. Her marriage must be so strong. You hear of seasoned Hollywood actors whose spouses are so insecure about these scenes that they arrive on set to calm their fears of possible infidelity and you get other spouses who don't even want to talk about or ever watch those scenes. Then for Vivek to be comfortable enough to say how much he loves Tillotama as a friend. Wow !!! That is why this movie was amazing; it's because two friends were so comfortable with each other that they were able to be so natural and deliver a masterpiece. I hope there is a sequel.

OMG you both are so cute together! Tillotama's husband has competition, ha ;) I feel that there is a level of maturity as well as respect in Ashwin's character. His thinking is pure and mature, and that is reflected when he kisses Ratna. I loved that scene, it was delicate, yet powerful. All those differences between the characters evaporate - until the phone rings! I love how Ratna realises her feelings for Ashwin. She is trying to resist him up until that point. But she has wonderful moments, where at one point she says; 'shehar ke ladke kya chaahe the hain, hum ko nahin pata' - or something along those lines. And she says it with such disappointment. And the moment when she bumps into the lady who comes out of Ashwin's room. Oh her dagger eyes. Her feelings were simmering away, and she realises in that moment of intimacy. Brilliant writing, and brilliantly performed. It would be great to get Vivek and Tillotama's thoughts on what they think happens to their characters after the movie ends. If the story were to progress, which direction would it take according to them? I loved this film so much, I think I could write a novel on it! I hope to see Vivek Gomber in more acting roles. He was superb in this movie and I think he has the potential to become a great actor.

@AvaniVee
@AvaniVee 3 жыл бұрын
@@ouhsc92 Yes, I do. It would be interesting to know why Ashwin calls Ratna at the end of the film, despite Ratna telling him not to contact her. And why in that - final - moment she calls him by his name; Ashwin, when she decided to leave his house. I feel in that end sequence, Ratna realised she not only loves Ashwin, but she has lost him too. So when he does call her, it's her moment to tell him how she feels. And I think he calls her, because he is in love with her, and he knows he won't feel this way about anybody else. I'd love to see a part two of this film and watch them come together breaking down barriers and living harmoniously in love with each other 😍

Loved the movie. One thing that could’ve been better was the Ashwin character. Many time the Indian filmmakers create a westernized or an outsider character who is oblivious to the socio-economic reality of India. They showed the same thing in Dhobi ghaat and Article 15. Maybe directors aren’t keen to create a native complex character. I mean would Ashwin behave the same way if he was brought up in Mumbai? If he did, how would the director convince the audience ?

He most likely may not. That’s why it is good to travel, good to experience and live in other cultures, good to imagine and write, because they make you. Those experiences change you. And that is good. There may be an Ashwin even without going to the West, evem while being poor and uneducated but the chances are slim. What is amazing is, even with all the experiences and education, men like Ashwin are rare!

I reluctantly clicked on this movie in Netflix a couple of days back . But once I watched it, I thanked my stars for instigating me to watch it. The actors have done a great job proving their expertise in their craft. The movie moves at its own appropriate pace, it neither rushes nor crawls. This movie has proved that movies of this manner or genre can be really good minus the usual Bollywood movie formula of stunts, dance, heavy make up, exqusite outdoors, casting super stars, exclusive costumes etc. When Vivek said that Tillotama actually ran and physically exhausted herself to bring out the sweat for the scene, mirrors her diligence towards her work. Vivek is nevertheless a wonderful actor and seems quite chivalrous. The relationship between Ashwin and Ratna is so subtle, if not directed well, it could have easily gone overboard and tarnished their image. As the characters stayed within their turf (even after a slight hop and back), the respect towards Ashwin and Ratna will surely linger in our minds even after the movie is over. Vivek and Tillotama neither overacted nor underacted, they maintained the equilibrium, which again is a huge responsibility on the actors' shoulders. Though such relationships are deplorable in our society, seeing Ashwin and Ratna's dignified behavior, it strikes a chord with the subconscious mind and initiates a change in the thought process. In the sense that it contributes in lessening the gap between the two extreme social strata. It's a movie worth your time. Congratulations to the team of "Sir, Is love enough ?"

What a film! Pure art...no lust, no short dresses, no double meaning jokes...yet the essence of the film has been fully delivered to the public...all thanks to excellent actors and equally talented director!! This is probably the finest i have seen in decades.. Plz dont stop making such movies else we will have to submit ourselves to shitty meaningless films of Bollywood biggies.. Loved loved loved every single bit of the movie ❤
