@@h.l.malazan5782yes, you’re so right, this is totally only the right and can’t possibly be applied to the left at all. Just stop, left, right, and center, they all suck and want power. One side isn’t better than the other, they’re just doing whatever they can to make the other side look worse. The only place out founding fathers went wrong was not making term limits for everyone. No one should be in power for too long. All those senators that are 80 years old should have been removed years ago. They’re all out of touch and don’t know how to represent their people.

This hits hard. Here in China we need to show "green QR codes" on our phones. Without one, I'm not even allowed out of my building. When I checked into a hotel the other day, they scanned my green code (as usual) and I could see on their angled monitor a list of everywhere I'd been in the previous 2 weeks... and I don't mean general locations, I mean every *specific* shop I'd visited, every route I'd walked my dog, each friend's home I'd been to... literally, *every* place I'd physically gone with my phone was recorded (and going anywhere *without* your phone has been made virtually impossible). So yes.... I remember a time when we were free, and never again.

I would argue, they are even improved versions of Carlin, because unlike Carlin, they didn’t go through that awkward period in their comedy careers where they were willing to please the dumb crowds. Maybe early Stanhope did it, but he would tell you right there “I’m doing this dumb shit for the money”, like when he did the Man Show.

I think Tim shines a lot more in this format than stand up. Because he can just rant off the top of his head. His prepared stand up material doesn't hit the same. His own podcast isn't very good when has guests because he can't do his long monologues in those either, he works better with a captive audience rather than one he has to interact with if that makes sense. Joe is an excellent podcast host, knows what Tim does best and just lets him go at without interrupting.

German here and I can relate. It's not that we are north korea or china (yet) but slowy we are going down a path... if you watch discussions/talk shows from the 60s/70s here in Germany, there was a topic a the panel discussed it, some agreed, some disagreed but everyonecwas perfectly fine to say whatever he/she thinks. Today it feels like everyone knows what they "have to say" when a question is raised to a point where it feels wrong to say what you really think. When there is a moment broadcasted on tv where some steps 'out if line" the host and others point that out rigth away and the person gets isolated during the talk but once that clip is on KZfaq you see that many others actually agree while on TV it Looks like bo one would ever think think way/say such a thing.

Naturally, it's simple conditioning, that's exactly what we do to our *pets* when they step out of line. Of course when we step out of line we don't get sprayed with a water bottle, we lose our jobs or the money in our bank accounts or the police are called on us or maybe we just get flat-out locked up. Although I will admit it would seem we're all just about as neutered as our pets are, so most likely nothing will be done to retaliate against this. Or will it? In situations like these it's up to you to see what can be done about your own problems while you still have the ability to solve them.

I was literally oblivious to all of this and just happily moving along in the conveyor belt of life. The “goodies” comment rang the most true. I use a cash system (for budgeting purposes) and it’s been disturbing how much they want to eliminate cash. At first I went along as swiping is more convenient and figured that was the sole purpose and then I saw the tracking of purchases through my shopping apps when I did occasionally use my debit or phone number for text receipts but again thought “oh, well this makes shopping easier with a more personalized system.” However, now I’m seeing all the cash budgeting creators on YT heavily pushing receipt upload companies with their point systems and gift card rewards and now it’s getting to be a bit creepy with the intensity that they’re wanting the information.

Aaron Russo talked about this to Alex Jones, in 2006/2007. I remember the interview, in real time. But, of course....the majority population still had their heads up their asses...talking about video games, TV shows, sports, lace front wigs, gay marriage, their favorite musician....or mediocre bullsh_t like, "George W. Bush is bad!" (...no shit. And they only did this AFTER it became "popular" or they were "allowed" to protest Bush. Unlike myself and others...who were considered anti-American).

I find it funny when people say oh they made us stay in our homes during the pandemic. No the door was open the whole time, you made yourself stay home because your mental enslavement made you comply with tyranny instead of thinking for yourself. That's what so lacking in the world now - critical thought, its the product of a mass propagandized society.

There was never any promise of an easy or enjoyable life on this planet or anywhere else in the universe.

You should be proud that you did. Things will be hard for them once SHTF, but they will adapt quickly and not even think twice about it. Us grownups tend to forget how well kids adapt to new situations, plus they have a whole different way of dealing with negative emotions. They will need your guidance and love and support, but the hardships they may experience will allow them to be well adjusted adults, and that generations attitudes and morals will be decisive on whether or not humanity has a future in an otherwise grim world.
