With albums like Tim Heidecker in them, you can't lose!

I'm so used to seeing Tim in-character. I thought this was gonna be another in-character interview, but I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic and sincere this is.

I hope Tim plays at a music festival this summer. I think that would be a really fun and safe time

Tim's music is so uniquely Tim. I've always loved his content, whatever kind of thing he's doing there's always a sense of humor and dedication to doing it right. It's been really cool to see more of his personality in recent years

tim and eric was a huge part of my adolescence. it's inspiring to see how far tim has come but also how serious he can be. the past few years ive been trying to hold myself accountable for saying problematic phrases because they used to get a laugh. they never were actually funny society just enabled it. its much harder to actually say something funny that doesn't disparage people, and when you do it feels so much better.

Love Tim, and I really like some of his songs. They have a brilliant simplicity to them. Glad to see he's not being ironic about it. It's simple and sincere.

When I was 19 back in 2011 some coworkers introduced me to Awesome Show. I hated it at first, but months later I grew to love it, and it's now deeply informed my sense of humor. Divorced from my love of his work with Eric Wareheim, I am absolutely in love with his 2019 album What the Brokenhearted Do. I'd argue it's a break-up album masterpiece. I'm going to listen to High School for the first time tonight, this man is a genius.

I really like the single on Tim's yt channel off this new album, its very chill. Not to get parasocial, but Tim also seems like he's mellowed out and isn't as angry as he used to be in the past decade. I hope he's doin well and being happy.

Wow, this is legendary.

I think the whole "bad blood" thing happened cuz Tim had a caller who told Tim that Tim's music sucked. Then he told Tim that Death Grips is the best band in the world and then started talking about how Anthony agrees that Death Grips is the best band ever. Then Tim said he's never heard of Death Grips. Then he put on a song of theirs and went off on the caller and said he has terrible taste. Then he also said Anthony has terrible taste and just kinda went off. It was obviously meant to be excessive anger on Tim's part. And he was mainly just trying to insult the caller

what a crossover, tim's really making the rounds for this album and its great to see!

I really feel like Anthony doesn’t have enough of a dialogue on these, he doesn’t really respond to what he’s saying he either goes “mhm” or doesn’t say anything and just asks the next question

I like Tim's music side cause he's less confusing away from the surreal Andy Kaufman style comedy, which I enjoy some of that! But I guess it's refreshing to see his other talents.

Tim is so genuine in real life, and I completely love and appreciate that he makes music for himself and what he wants to hear. The fact that he doesn't let what others might think stop him is inspiring!

Great interview. I didn't really know about Tim until I heard Fear of Death (which I now adore). It came onto a recommendation because I was listening to a lot of Weyes Blood at the time. That was my gateway drug into all the comedy. My life is better for it!
