About Sheepdog Response:
Sheepdog Response was founded by Green Beret, Special Forces, Sniper, and former top 5 UFC Middleweight, Tim Kennedy. Tim was also the co-star of Hunting Hitler on the History Channel, and more recently, Hard To Kill, on the Discovery Channel.
People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success.
The answer is not more laws. The wolves don’t follow them. We must give the good guys the tools they need to effectively respond to violence. The more Sheepdogs we can train to be truly ready to respond to a mass shooting, terrorist attack, violent mugging or home invasion, the better the chances are that the bad guys will get what they deserve and the good guys will survive. Most people sign up for martial arts or weapons training expecting to learn realistic self-defense, and few get it…
We have developed a curriculum that addresses the skills you need to successfully respond to threats

I remember in my CCW class, the instructor in the "advanced" section of the class was telling us all to shoot from the isosceles stance... I already knew that the weaver stance was my stronger, more natural stance... he came up to me and said "you know we told everyone to start in isosceles right?" and I said "yep...". He then looked at my target and said "well... weaver is obviously working for you so... don't change it if it feels right". Good instructor.

I know I'm a little bit late with this but I was wondering too. The stance he is using is an offset isosceles. The weaver stance is much more belated where the right arm would be ramrod straight and the left arm bent for a right handed shooter. The offset isosceles gives you the best of both worlds and that you're more stable but not fully squared up to the target. As he said more of a true fighting stance

For anyone wondering: he switched up Isosceles and Weaver a few times by mistake. Isosceles is square to target and Weaver is more bladed with the strong leg dropped to the rear, like a boxing stance. Fighting stance is more akin to Isosceles, and many folks are taught to drop the strong leg just a tad to accommodate your entire arsenal.

You have great information and delivery (and gravitas, being SF), but confused weaver and isosceles. It makes the video look amateurish. My advice: delete the video, re-record it and re-upload. BTW, I completely agree with you on weaver/fighting stance. It is superior in nearly every way to isosceles, but again, use what you prefer.

Tim Kennedy says the weaver is the proper stance. Jerry Miculek says the isosceles is the proper stance. Two of my favorite you tube professionals. So who should i believe ? Feet position is moot in self-defense or Combat shooting. Have to put shots on target quickly and precisely as possible no matter how you are standing, sitting, or lying down. Practice different positions and use fighter stance when at range and whenever possible in real life scenerio’s.

Tim, you must have taken too many hits to head during your MMA career. One the keys to being a great instructor is that you MUST use correct terminology. You might be able to "wing" it the new shooter but you will lose the intermediate and advanced shooters. Even if the overall content of the course is excellent, they won't learn anything new because they will only focus on the fact that you mixed up the terminology of the different shooting stances. Like many others of have commented, please delete this video, do your homework, and re-record.
