Melissa's acting in this scene was brilliant. 👏👏We could feel every Lucy’s emotion. It's really interesting to see Lucy going through difficult moments this season. We've mostly seen Lucy as a positive person, but now she's been put in several situations where her insecurities and inner battles are shown (overthinking, anxiety about detective exam and now this)

This was such a sweet and tender moment for Tim and Lucy. I love how he told her that no matter what the outcome of the shooting was, that he will help her get through it. I also loved the gentle embrace between them when they realized that she was in the clear from the shooting and was not injured in any serious way. I can't wait to see what's next for them!!!

Melissa was acting like the rent was due yesterday here. I can feel every emotion without it being forced or overtly fake. And I love Tim's "WE'LL handle it" and "Let's go home" and holding of Lucy's head and shoulder here. So domestic, sweet and supportive. I enjoy seeing this side of Tim with Lucy cuz we all know he can be grumpy and tough with everyone else.

I love how tender he was with her. Her rock. They have my ❤️ I have been saying this for a while now, Lucy needs a friend (outside of Tim). Tamara is still a kid and I don't think she's someone who could shoulder Lucy's problems. After Jackson, she's hardly seen mingling with others outside of work and we all been seeing how she literally has no one she could turn to apart from Tim. I'm feeling sad for her and top of the emotional shit the writers have been heaping on her from the beginning of S6, I'm worried she's heading into a mental breakdown... And she really needs therapy too.

YES. THANK YOU. I feel like I'm the only one who sees how much Lucy is in need of a friend. She has zero people outside of Tim (who is her boyfriend) and Tamara (who is way too young and not there that often). She has become quite isolated since Jackson's death. Rachel is gone, Angela and Nyla practically don't hang out with her, Nolan is always with Bailey and vice-versa, Celina and Aaron are a team of their own. I wish they would bring Noah back or maybe pull out a friend from her past, idk

@@thatyanacelenciario yes and at this point I'll take even Noah. But after watching today's episode, her interaction with John, I think writers could rekindle their lost friendship. They were such a good friends in the beginning and I also think Aaron could fill her friend role. Aaron and Lucy could be good for each other as friends.

Y'all need two things to shift the 18-49 demo and live ratings or overall ratings to a more positive light: Change the damn time slot to 9pm ( even if you have to change the day it airs) and get Chenford as the main couple.. Also, stop giving away scenes before it airs. Be mysterious, have us excited and surprise us. Kinda like what you're doing for 6x5 with that Tim storyline! THAT makes us wanna watch it even more !!

I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT THIS THOUGH - why would Lucy possibly face legal issues if the guy dies later on from his injuries? Didn't she shoot him out of self defense because he was about to shoot her, and because he didn't listen to her order to put the weapon down??

It's just protocol for when an officer gets involved in a shooting They have to open up a murder investigation to make sure it wasn't excessive use of force

Yea it's just a long drawn out stressful process to be cleared for active duty again after killing a criminal, even if it's self defense. Plus I think Lucy was more emotional because she just never wants to kill anyone

It's mainly not about her getting in trouble,since it was a clean shoot(she had to take the shot or he would've killed her) then she would only be put on leave for a couple of days until the investigation is completed and she gets cleared. But I think here it's more about the emotional side of it, she would feel extremely guilty and awful about herself if she had taken a life even if she had to take that shot; the show likes to emphasize on that point everytime an officer is involved in such shooting

She wouldn’t necessarily have gotten in trouble, it’s just a matter of procedure and policy that the DA’s office needs to conduct an investigation when there’s an officer involved shooting. An investigation would mean reviewing body cam footage, interviewing the responding police officers (like Harper and Lopez), going over the suspect’s files, alleged crimes, etc. They need to determine that the shooting was necessary and justified (ie not excessive force) which is obviously the case here.
