You really need 10” wedges for the small to medium size trees it looks like you have ?? 6”-9” will work better both for your work and in your pouch

6s and 8s/9s are a really hard go because the taper is so abrupt. 10s and 12s have a lot more gentle of a transition so they go in easier and don’t spit out as much
