Timberdoodle
Would you like to know why we choose Timberdoodle? How did we find Timberdoodle? Not long after I started this channel, I applied to be on their blog team. I did that because we already bought, used, and love their product. The best part is they don't actually make the products in their kits. They comb through and test tons of pieces to find the best of the best to include in their curated box of Awesome!
We love them, we use them, and we will keep coming back!

I am SO excited about Timberdoodle. I have searched and searched and was coming up short for a STEM based curriculum for my 1st and 3rd graders. I am a Christian but I’m also a scientist so a strong STEM program is very important to me. I was watching one of your other videos and heard you briefly mention Timberdoodle and I had to back up the video to make sure I heard it right. It wasn’t a video about Timberdoodle. I immediately looked into it intrigued by the name of the company and fell down the rabbit hole. 100% will be using this curriculum with my kids next year. Thank you for putting awesome videos out there! I’m so relieved to have FINALLY found something I think will work for us! 🎉🎉

I think everyone has to find their own line. I'm not so secular that I'm unwilling to investigate materials from a Christian publisher. We are all just trying to do our best.

Thank you so much for putting out the content you do! Like so many parents, I found myself switching to homeschool this year. It is something I had never thought about before but then 2020 happened. Your videos have been so helpful in navigating these new waters. We found Timberdoodle through you and have been loving it. With a 2 and 4 year old the independent learning is gold! Our family has found that we can save a number of games and books to give as Christmas and birthday gifts. This has really spread out the cost of our elite kits.

This is a crazy year for sure! I'm so glad that you've found value here. I'm also so glad that you've realized how to make the kids work best for you. I hear so many complaints about trying to do it all everyday. That would make me crazy. What a brilliant idea to hold some of the fun stuff back for a midyear gift. That way you know it's appropriate for their age and they can get excited all over again with the pieces. ❤

This is our 1st year using Timberdoodle and yes it was a little pricey, but totally worth every penny. This is my 3rd year homeschooling my daughter who is autistic. She is high functioning so she didn't qualify for a lot of services and aide in school. She never exhibited any behavioral issues in school and we were blessed with wonderful teachers that would do all the things they could to accommodate her and her special needs. Even with all that 2nd grade she started to really struggle, she would come home and have no idea how to do her homework because she would go into her head during the lesson and it would be like she was learning it for the 1st time. So we decided maybe homeschool would be best for 3rd. I didn't have the confidence to teach her, so we did a virtual public school and by the end of the year we realized it was just putting public school in the home. She still struggled. So last year, we went rogue and I pieced together a curriculum based on her love of reading. Well I went a bit overboard and it was a bit overkill in literature. So I started researching curriculum for special needs/special learning needs and cam across Timberdoodle. I have always been a very independent person, so I totally gravitated to their independent learning style. We are just coming to the end of our 1st semester and we are loving it. This year I am also homeschooling my 7 yr old 2nd grader, this is my 1st year with him. I honestly could not be doing it if it wasn't for Timberdoodle and their curated curriculum. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your reviews. I watched one of your videos and it was what helped in my decision to go with Timberdoodle, so, thank you!

Are you still using this curriculum? My oldest son is Autistic and struggles with independence. Can you explain more how it fosters that? He’s going into 7th grade and still requires more help than my 4th grader.

I can't speak to the specifics of using with a neurodivergent student. Many of the pieces that Timberdoodle chooses become increasingly less parent involved. For math, my girls know to do the next lesson, cue up the video, do the corresponding lesson page, and then they'll have me check it. I would recommend looking through the kit and then searching for reviews or first-hand accounts to see if it's a good fit. Also, don't hesitate to reach out to Timberdoodle if you need a bit more guidance. They're very responsive.

This is our first year homeschooling and came across timberdoodle when looking for curriculum for kinesthetic learners. I couldn't be happier with it! I can see how some would think it pricey, but we feel we got a steal! Her preschool was 3x's the cost of timberdoodle and she wasn't learning as much academically as she is now! And heaven help us if we wanted her to have a similar private school education! Here in Cali it's $12K a year! I won't complain about the cost of the kit at all. Worth every penny!

It really is all in where you find the value. I also feel like it's a steal. You get so much for your money and it truly saves us over tuition in our previous programs.

We just ordered our first Timberdoodle kit. I’m looking forward to using it. Even though I disagree with your views on religion, you did produce a very well done review video. I appreciate Mom’s like you that take the time to do reviews on products like this. Thank you!

I really am happy to share. I also believe that you don't have to share all of someone's beliefs to be able to gain something from them. The world has become so polarized and I wish more people would just take what they can use and leave the rest.

We have used Timberdoodle for 3yrs now and think it is a steal of a deal! The doodlebucks reward after your 1st purchase, a free scheduler when others cost, saving the cost of uniforms for public or private school, all the fundraisers they have to do at schools, being able to travel whenever we want, and feel like she is getting a better education than going to one of those options....worth it! Soooo worth it. My niece lived with us for 2 years and her public school asked all the parents to pledge giving over the course of the school year. That cost more than my Elite Kit and then she had supplies and what not on top of that.
@MakingEverydayMagic

Yes!!! The fundraisers! Not enough people talk about the cost of going to school. On top of taxes! It really is all in where you find your value. Like you said, those travel during the school years savings add up! It truly is a motivator for me to homeschool, my husband says that is not a valid reason but it sure is! 😂

I think I told you in a previous video that your videos are why we looked into Timberdoodle. We were super frustrated with our secular choices and were about to give up and order Abeka and modify it with a sharpie. We couldn't be happier!!!! We have purchased now 5 kits for our kids (infant/toddler, preschool, Pre K, K, and 1st) because we felt what we were getting was so much more than just a school curriculum but a lifestyle of learning. We loved it so much we sent our 18 month old grandson the Toddler kit as his Christmas gift and will continue to send him new kits yearly, even if my kids choose to send him to school. It is a lot of money but it is also comparable to some of the larger curriculum kits and they do not include visual perception, critical thinking and so on. I think the Elite kit (minus the science) is worth every penny I spend, and I would gladly pay more if I had to. Also, I agree about their customer service. We had an issue with one of our scheduler codes not worker and I called and they were super helpful. They not only fixed the issue for me instead of walking me through it, they followed up with a call to check in and make sure it worked for me the next day. Thank you for these videos (I now watch and comment on everything you post because it changed our lives, and thats not an exaggeration).

We were gifted a Lap Book making book by a dear friend several years ago. They make great review books and are awesome at bundling up multiple things so you can save them instead of 100 loose papers! I definitely recommend looking up lap books.

What month would be best to order from timberdoodle if I want to get the new stock for that year? I want to start working with my child in July, and I'm thinking of going with timberdoodle.
