We are a homeschooling family with five kids at home, six kids total. Our channel is about large family life, homeschooling, and finding the blessing in everyday. I am currently homeschooling a teenager, two elementary aged children and a preschooler. (I am also homeschooling our toddler-but some people don’t consider that homeschool-I do!)

7:21 This makes a lot of sense! I'm so glad you shared this because as I was watching, I realized that I did better in one of my college semesters when I only took two classes. When I add more to my college schedule, I struggle big time! And, I really want my child to learn with the information staying long-term instead of rushing through the lessons.

I agree with you. Time4learning is a great curriculum and a big help for parents when it comes to record keeping. I love that it’s interactive and auto-feedback. I think the educators/speakers were amazing.

Love your info. I might just try one lesson a week. We transitioned from public school to time for learning for the school year that just finished (2021 - 2022) I was skeptical and thought my child wouldn't like it. And with CPS (I'm in Chicago) being a hot mess and the whole pandemic, my child had complete anxiety every morning trying to go back last fall. We are wrapping up 6th grade and getting ready to enjoy summer. Time for learning has been a complete game changer. It just fits with our lifestyle. My child loves the flexibility and the fact that she can spend as much time as she wants on it. Public school just wasn't working for us. She had and continues to have awesome grades. I was worried she would be bored with the curriculum, especially bc she was coming from a gifted program. She definitely loves that school for her isn't at the crack of dawn and that she doesn't have to sit all day on whatever lesson everyone else is on. I have no issues with her doing the work, she likes doing the lessons. And she truly enjoys that she isn't on it all day like regular school. It gives her the flexibility to enjoy other things, like art and nature. Thank you so much for posting this helpful video. ❤

I’m so happy it’s working out so well! We used to live close to Chicago and the horror stories about the Chicago public schools was just intense. Not to mention the teachers were constantly on strike. I’m so happy she’s able to enjoy learning and have time for life!

Wow I love that you can just focus on one subject at a time and go at your own pace and that it has a free trial. The last online school we were about to begin was an overwhelming nightmear. I wished I had seen the reviews sooner. Thanks for posting this review it's super helpful and I want to have my kids try it out now.

My kids are currently in public school and I’m considering pulling them out for the remainder of the school year. Is this curriculum something that they could start mid year? Or will it basically start them as if it’s the beginning of the school year? I hope this makes sense.
@EverydayBlessings

I know what you mean. They may refresh on some things but it really doesn’t take long at all to complete. What would take an hour in a classroom takes MAYBE 15 mins if that. They will probably finish their grade level before the public school gets out for summer. You should try it we LOVE it. If you use the link in my description box it helps out my channel. You can e mail me anytime too. I love to chat.

I supplement with my own Bible curriculum. Other than that we just do whatever fun educational things we feel like. It’s a well rounded curriculum you really don’t need to supplement anything to meet requirements if your state has any.

I just started homeschooling today for my 8th grader through time4learning but I'm a little confused... they already have 8th grade curriculum on the website but do I need to buy additional books?? If so, for what subjects and how do I know which correct books are needed and from what site? I would greatly appreciate it if you can reply and help me. Thank you!!

My son is special Ed and he is very far behind and with this last iep meeting they kept telling me that I and my son have not done things we did to try and change what was happening and he had so much anxiety about going he would make himself sick and he was missing so much school. He is 14 and in 9th grade but learns at a 2nd or 3rd grade level and they are trying to make him do things he could not do. I just did not have the fight left in me

My IQ is very high! They made kinder so horrible for my son bcuz he wouldn’t march like a robot. He became anxious and sick. I refuse to let them break his spirit like they did mine.

Hi, i was wondering if Time4Learning also included an attendance tracker. Also if my child attended school previously does time4learning require those transfer credits?

There is an attendance tracker. You don’t transfer credits really you just pick up in the grade you believe they would fit.

The State of Tennesse says you can Independent Homeschool, Go to a Umbrella School or a accredited online school. Would We be able to use Time 4 Learning with it not being accredited and meet our States Requirements? We are all New to Homeschool but I know the curriculum can’t be accredited it’s the school.. Thank You !!
@EverydayBlessings
@EverydayBlessings Жыл бұрын
It sounds to me like the short answer is yes. Because time for learning would fall into the independent homeschool category.

If you’re a Christian homeschooler is there anything objectionable in this program? I love your idea for focusing on 1 subject weekly!!!
@EverydayBlessings
@EverydayBlessings 2 жыл бұрын
I’m a Christian homeschooler and I approach this like any other curriculum. I will look ahead to see what is going to be taught. If I find something I disagree with based on our beliefs I use that as a teaching opportunity for my kiddo. I let the lesson play and then I ask “Is that what God tells us about XYZ ?” Then we talk about it together. My children have turned into truth investigators and they will point out when something does not line up with the Bible.

@@jennv.5775 My son did time 4 learning for the first 2 semesters of 8th grade but preferred going back to public school. He did have to register all over again but his school took him right back in no problem.Same class he would’ve been in before he left to homeschool.They did ask what was the last math lesson he left off on with time 4 learning. It was pretty much the same math. He was able to graduate with his class.I think as long as your child can show that they haven’t fallen behind, it’s no problem.He was in the school for 6 and 7th grade so they knew him.Hope this helps

Thanks for the review! Our kids are going to supplement with time for learning. I liked the 1 week focused subject approach. The intensive focused approach makes a lot of sense. Several certifications focus on a 40 hour curriculum and end in participants being certified in the subject matter expertise so there is truly something to be said with your approach!
