this is absolutely brilliant.. i love this tutorial even though the song is hard you made it quite easy by breaking it into small parts and i am able to understand everything you do. i really appreciate it. you are one of the best piano channels around keep up the great work. ps also thanks for interstellar tutorial i learnt that song from you too :)

I’ve tried so many tutorials. So many channels. They aren’t bad but… OMG you literally make me sound as if I’ve been playing piano my entire life. I'm new to piano. I only have a 5 octave keyboard right now. I learnt Interstellar from your video tutorial. Took me about 4 months to get it right. Thats the first tune I ever learnt on a keyboard. Well, any instrument for that matter. The music was inspiring that I had to learn that as my very first tune. Your tutorial is what made Han zimmer accessible even to a newbie like me. You're an incredible Guru! You have no idea how grateful I am. I then learnt Barbie song via your tutorial in a month., That was easy. Now I'm starting 'time'. I'm a luckiest SOB to walk the earth the same and live in the time as composers like Han and teachers like you. This year I want to invest in my first proper piano.

Love this arpeggios variations, great version from you Teacher. Thank you a Lot. Starting learning today. Update. (about 3 weeks from beginning) . Every day learning about 30 min (also one more another piece and all my repertoire for 8 month repeat and improve).Slow playing whole piece...still jumps not so fast and my technics have to improve a lot.. Totally playing min 2 hours daily. .love your arpeggios.

What I find amazing in these tutorials is that even when I see you play a part where it’s really fast and seems so hard I know even before learning it that at the end I’ll be able to do it too ! Because I’ve seen many of your tutorials and each time I was surprised how easy you made it seem by explaining everything step by step ! This is a stunning song! I love the simplicity yet depth of the beginning. Could you teach some decorations to spice up a piece? Anything from chords to runs on the piano just to make a piece really pop. There are so many songs that I've learned that are far too simple and I just can't seem to figure out how to make it sound magical like your covers and tutorials. I listen to other tutorials that sound so simple compared to yours and I love the songs but they just sound so dull when there is no variation. You are very talented and I'd love some help from someone experienced such as you 😊

Really interesting tutorial, I'm a few months into studying music and piano to keep my retired brain busy. For instance playing octaves to start with and learning to use my left hand, is great to slowly dig into this wonderful and impressive (because of its simplicity) piece of Hans Zimmer. Your teaching is very well done and clear for newbies like me, not into the technical stuff right away. And that's a good thing, although I like to dig deep into music theory. (just for the fun of it) I learned soon enough that it takes time to rewire my neurons. Anyway a nice tutorial, I checked your channel and didn't find the song 'Amelie' from a French movie. I highly recommend this song it's a very typical piano piece for a nice tutorial. So, yes you passed my inquiry and I subscribed. 😀

@@BrennanChilds Thank you for your kind words, but well, I'm not done yet, just the left hand part starts to become reasonable. 😁 I just started, I think like a week ago, and the left hand part is rather easy as long I keep on sitting on my right hand.😄 BTW I noticed that you also show when to use the pedal, that really helps. And yes for a beginner maybe a bit to difficult, but it's a beautiful piece to learn. It's in my view a very well composed piece for piano, although I'm not an expert. (yet 😎) I listen to a lot of piano music nowadays and watch tons of videos, and look carefully to how players move their hands for instance and what the general feel or style of playing is as far as I do understand. Anyway I gonna watch your version, and the other tutorials too. I like especially this one above. I will keep on studying music, until guys like Hans Zimmer starts talking to me.🤪

Just curious here and I could be wrong. I'm trying the learn this song, the preview of the song seems different than tutorial. Learning section 2 it seems the preview in the left hand it's played more frequently, which would you recommend is better ? Also thank you for the great tutorial as always 😊

Hi thank u very much for ur tutorial it’s much appreciated! I was wondering about the left hand in section 5 - it seems like u play a slightly different variation of the arpeggios when u play the entire arrangement in the beginning, but in the tutorial the left hand stays the same. Where can I find the other arpeggios variation for the left hand? 🤓

Hey there and you’re welcome!! For the arpeggios the main thing you want to keep in mind is the timing not necessarily the order of the keys. So you can play the three keys in each arpeggio in any order you want. Hopefully that makes sense! If you want to do it how I do, you’re welcome to slow the speed of the video and match what I’m playing. Arpeggios are a bit tricky to teach because it’s hard to remember the exact order I played the 3 keys lol.

when you did section five in the playthrough there was a longer arpegio and a pattern you did. do you mind explaing what did you do becasue it made it sound much nicer in the playthrough

Basically on an arpeggio you can play any of the 3 keys in any order you want so sometimes I accidentally do additional ones and forget them 😅😅 but I would try out playing the three keys even higher on the piano and see how you like the sound :) totally up to you!
