People need to leave Hugh alone. He's doing what he wants with his life. You want to save the world then go and save it. You want to be farmer, go buy land and crop it. Hugh wants to date and be around beautiful women.. He does it! Don't hate him for being him. Life is short and more than likely the majority will fall in the shadows of history. Live how you want and God Bless! P.S. there is a difference between right and wrong. People just make some things wrong when they shouldn't be.

Hef did as much for the black freedom movement as Martin Luther King. He was the first to accept black performer's in his clubs. Our freedom of speech and of the press improved greatly. Hef was in court often fighting for those rights.

Exactly my thoughts!!! Even today I still can see signs of this guys generation that are so stubborn the trace remains of it will remain for a another couple of decades. The thing is, if all of those women who wanted us to not think about them in sexual ways succeed in doing so. They'd swiftly come to regret it. People in general want to feel special. They like to feel sexy. If you don't want that, you probably belong to a different planet.

I can't believe how torn the comments are about him (Hugh Hefner), it's been 56years since the first issue and the same old debate is still going on. He is a brilliant businessman and a very successful one. And I have to say, if it wasn't for him I'm pretty sure we would all have pretty boring sex lives...

@JunLiga I don't think Hugh would ever deny that both women and men are objectified. I would also go out on a limb and say that Hugh recognizes all sexuality as some sort of objectification - But, as you said, provided that other characteristics aren't ignored, objectification isn't a bad thing - It's natural. Sex doesn't need romance/respect, and romance/respect doesn't need sex. But they go really well together.
@danielamolina62799 жыл бұрын
Hi everyone. I don't know if in this interview Hugh talks about why he really created playboy magazine or not, but either ways I am going to tell you. Hugh as a kid never received love from his mother or father. The reason he created this magazine was because it was a revenge from the lack of love of his parents. In the interview I saw he said that one day her mother told him that she was sorry. He accepted the apology saying what's done it's done and stuff and he said "because of the lack of love I received from you and from father , my revenge has given the world a twist and I can't change that"(those are not his exact words. This was a huge impact on me because I imagined that Hugh was a sex addict maniac but he isn't he just wanted revenge that's all. And because of his revenge he has put a curse on the world . He was the one who practically started pornography and he created a ideal of a woman as just a toy that men can use when ever they want

Hugh Hefner is an interesting case... He's done a lot more to liberate women, behaviorialism, and fight radical right wing religious nut jobs, and invasive government legal practices then a lot of people. He is an important, and unsung activist, and in reality the good he's done far outweighs the bad. The real question is can you value his virtues... I don't think I do, but I'd never have wished for a world without him, he did great things, and people forget his activism, which is sad.

@antrix57 Well I can answer that as I actually met him in Jamaica in 1970. I was with a friend at the Playboy Club and we were sitting around the pool with drinks. Hugh Hefner was with his new fiancee at the time (he never married her) - a pretty blonde but an obvious bimbo because all she did the entire time was giggle! I never heard her utter one word in contribution to our discussion and wondered then what on earth she and Hugh had in common other than sex!

@JimmyTheKiller Well,women have been using tons of make-up for a long time.Long before old Hef was even born.Also,the reason why some women make their breast larger using silicone is becouse...well,men like big breasts.It has nothing to with pin-up magazines like Playboy but it has everything to do with sex and sexuality.
