They always did such a great job with their filming and the overall story line. Sir Tony was an excellent choice for the Presenter.

Just discovered from the comments section that Mick Aston passed away in 2013. Too late perhaps to pass on my comiserations to his family and friends, but I was shocked. It's so comforting to think that such people exist in the world doing such good. He will be missed.

TIME TEAM THERAPY: I haven't seen any comments posted on perhaps one of the best purposes of time team: Viewer Relaxtion Therapy. The reasons it works for me, and why I recommend it to others, is that the show is interesting. It engages your mind and discoveries are made, but it doesn't really matter if they do or not. So, after a stressful day - or before one - it gets your focus off of your problems. That is very healing. And because you learn something, you feel that your time was not wasted, like it would be after a sit-com. (TT's therapeutic aspects were hinted at in the military therapy segment, but I'm referring to its benefit ordinary people.) Over the past year I have sequentially watched all of the Time Team episodes, and enjoy them all. I am very thankful for them and what I have learned - so different than my university archaeology classes, which were more historically based than this show which is excavation based. Having favorite team contributors is natural; but I am sorry to see so many harsh comments about some of the members. The participants have been themselves: they don't need to immitate someone else. They have all added information, perspective, and texture to the series. Each episode was worthwhile, although I too enjoy them more when significant discoveries are made. Dr. Cynthia, MD

My fave rave is to curl up on the couch in winter and watch The Time Team. Hope the time team goes on forever!....Love this show too as well as all the team. Im a fan of Paul Blinkhorn and his pottery findings, Tony, Racksha et al.

I really like this episode. I've watched it several times. So hard to imagine 800 years of time going by, but here it still stands. It would be nice if they could afford to repair the effigies in the chapel and at least make a plaque commemorating who is buried there.

The multicolored stripey umbrella was a nice touch, on this last dig.

Richard really grew on me! I wish we had seen more of him.

A small point - yew trees are only to be found in churchyards because the berries are poisonous to cattle.

I love your show I love all of England, the dear Queen and the Royal family. And god bless the King. I think Charles the third, looks very, very, Regal to me as a American Anglophile. The young lady had the most delicate looking hands I have ever seen. And then the voice of a Queen her self . To me a 65 year old Merchant Marine sailor I dare say angelic.

The owners want to know the history. If Medieval Mick, Historical Helen and Researcher Robin were still around, they would get the answer in no time. This Neil is a waste of oxygen. Time Team cut their own throat when they cut Mick, Helen, Robin, Victor and Stuart - they meshed so well with Phil, Tony and the rest - THEY all made archaeology come to life.

Easily my favourite episode, I just resonated so much with it. Was just so good 😌😌😌💕💕💕

In this case the additions are so believable that the workmanship is excellent. Very impressive.

Can you date the stained glass, is it medieval? Well, it was found by a medieval building so probably... Helpful.

So many episodes looking for a big hall and then, when they find one, they decide to focus on the little chapel. Great episode nonetheless.

After watching every single Time Team all 20 years at least once. Noticed every time this Neal guy is in charge they only do small pits and NEVER find what they are looking for. One time he couldn't find a Villa in a empty field! Complete buffoon.

It's faintly amusing to see how Tony's waistline has expanded over the series. He's now quite porky, compared to the first editions. This is in opposition to his hairline, which started as long and dark, and is now rather threadbare!

Did anyone else notice that there were at least two (2) things that didn't fit with the guy's conclusion that the storage room floor was at a different level in the past so that it made the fireplace-in-the-wall accessible? First, if the floor had previously been where he said it was, only half of the window at the end would be visible on that floor. Also, there is another fireplace or alcove in a wall that would be below the previous floor and thus, useless. Of course, the window could have been added later, but not the other feature in the wall. My point is that there might be another explanation for what the guy claimed was a fireplace higher on the wall, and he didn't climb up and get close enough to look for another explanation. AND, Lipscomb's 'conclusion' she knew the exact identities of the effigies in the chapel based on such flimsy evidence as the style of their clothes is beyond shoddy! The style of their clothes supports --- but doesn't prove --- who they were. Moreover, nothing was said as to whether anyone had actually looked or 'excavated' in the church to see if the people are identified somewhere. Names might be covered up by newer plaster and/or paint, or previous owners might have moved the "dead people" and the record of who they are would not be near their current location. Anybody look????

In a perverted way, I was happy when Time Team concluded after this season. Why? Well, first the changes that were made with inappropriate replacements who never seemed to "fit in" or fill any void. Second, the introduction of totally inappropriate and annoying music caused me to keep lowering the sound and so I could never really know what was being said or learn what was happening.

Tony's $4 chinese shirt is really bothering me..

I usually watch "renovaton Home" another program, where an historian goes to defferent records offices to gather the needed information...couldn't these people do the same instead of all the guessing???

This one-of-the-last episodes really feels cheap, doesn't it? The credits still list 4 geophysics staff, but almost no geophys was done - why? Why no dendrochronology? No discussions with local historians, almosst no aerial photography, and many of the discussions were awfully vague (the skeleton dated as "pre-castle" - why not cite the actual report?). It's not a terrible episode, but one can really see how much they were trying to save money here.

Watching this feels like watching Time Team through someone's interpretation of Time Team after reading only a blurb about the show and having Tony Robinson narrate that. What the heck happened to geophys? This is not Time Team. Wish there was a meh button.

She said "we don't know rally"? That makes no sense. One guy is saying is the castle may not be "reeoo". I have no idea what that means. That same guy pronounced the word weather "whever".

Main thing is three days...at that rate if they where involved in the discovery of the grave of Tutankhamen, that squirrelly Tony fellow would have been yelling about a stone wall, of "found archeology, no idea what it is, but it is archeology" without even finding out what it is.
