Quick question: So...if you were just starting to fill new raised beds, would you recommend filling them with half peat moss and half Humble Acres Organics compost? I have 3 new beds to fill (will be planting veggies) and need to get it done soon, so I'll be ready-to-go. (I live in the midlands of SC in Lexington.) I ordered some of your plants online and will be picking them up from you in April. Thanks for the info! Excited!!!

Great question! Thanks for your business and we're excited to get those to you soon! Spring is right around the corner! I would add some peat moss to fill up about 1/4th of the bed and then compost to fill up 1/4 of the bed then mix it. Then repeat the steps. Otherwise it gets a bit hard to mix if you just add 50/50 for the whole bed if that makes sense. If you have a garden auger or a drill with an auger attachment or a small tiller that might help mix it easier. Otherwise, just a garden fork works great as well!
