Timeline: SEA Games (1959 - 2029)

Күн бұрынThis video is about the host cities / nations / countries and the top countries / nations / teams as per the medals table / medals tally in each edition of Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
With the latest edition of Southeast Asian Games “Southeast Asian Games 2021 Hanoi, Vietnam” is being successfully held in 2022, let’s have a look at the cities that have hosted the competition before and the cities to be hosted the competition in future along with the top performed teams / nations in each edition of the competition as per the medal table / tally of respective competition. In early days from 1959 - 1975 it was called Southeast Asian Peninsular Games. The name changed from 1975 afterwards. The competition is held once in each two years. Thailand and Malaysia have hosted the events most of the times, 6 times each. All the time medal table is lead by Thailand, followed by Indonesia & Malaysia in second and third places, Vietnam is the overall fourth & Philippines are the fifth.
Future SEA Gams will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (2023), Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla, Thailand (2025), Malaysia (2027) & Singapore (2029).

From 2003 to now, Vietnam is always in top 3 of total ranking at every Sea Game they join. It's noticeable that the 2000 is just the time Vietnam stablized the country after the war, embargo and sanctions from US.

Currently there is only 1 country in Southeast Asia that only hosted the SEA Games for only one time: Brunei. Brunei hosted the SEA Games in 1999, notably at Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.

Tahun 1977 Indonesia baru bergabung ke SEA GAMES dan Mau tahu kenapa mulai tahun 77 Indonesia selalu menjadi juara? Karena menurut khabar yang saya dengar, ada perintah dari Jenderal Soeharto (presiden kala itu) kepada kementerian olahraga agar pastikan Indonesia selalu juara, kalau tidak itu menteri dan jajarannya langsung dicopot😂 otomatis ancaman itu membuat mereka betul2 fokus melatih para atlet2 terbaik putra putri bangsa untuk membidik kejuaraan olahraga, terbukti, selalu juara 1 paling tidak masuk 3 besar. tapi pasca orde baru/reformasi, yaaah tahu sendiri laahhh…

2017 / 2019 / 2022 = The hosts are all gold medalists from local sports. The SEA Games only keeps getting worse because the hosts only bring local sports to compete to win gold medals to look good.

Indonesia kayaknya yang menolak soalnya sudah pernah jadi tuan rumah Asian Games 2018. Jadi untuk dekade 2011-2020 kita udah jadi tuan rumah 2 kali ajang olahraga. Makanya dekade 2021-2030 kita istirahat dulu
