I never realised there was a 40 second threshold for lifting up on pour over mode. I do wish you could turn off the timer pausing when you swirl your V60. Otherwise i love the scale.

In case the timer stops like accidentally move the dripper or you need to swirl, you can resume or continue the time by pressing the time button again.

@@HomeBaristaCorner can you lift up and swirl before the 40 seconds without it stopping, or do you have to swirl but not lift it off? Thanks

@@David-wh7rm below 40secs, you can do whatever you want The time will not stop. For me I usually swirl at the end of my last pour. The timer will stop, I just need to press again the timer so that the time will continue. That's a workaround for pour-over mode.

Thank you for the video! So if I understand correctly, when you bloom for more than 40 seconds on pour over mode the timer will stop ?? that seems like something that will annoy me lol

Yes, lifting or touching the dripper after 40 secs will stop the time but you can still continue by pressing the timer button again. The timer will continue to count.

Would you be able to start timer manually in espresso mode? Because I count preinfusion as swell

Not possible. For that case, just use the Normal mode.

can you manually start timer when in "ESP" mode? So that it includes the preinfusion and not from the first drops into the cup?

Cant. ESP mode will start the time on first drip.

@@HomeBaristaCornernot on first drip, there’s a bit of a delay of a couple seconds or so after weight is registered, it’s even visible in this video. Had I known there was a delay I wouldn’t have purchased the scale lol.
