The Timemore Black Mirror Nano Scale is the second scale from Timemore. This model is much smaller than the original Black Mirror, allowing it to sit comfortably on most, if not all, espresso machine drip trays, yet it has a slanted display that is viewable even under pour over vessels as large as the Chemex. The Nano has three modes: standard (manual), auto 1 (for pour over brewing), and auto 2 (for espresso). It takes a USB-C for charging its lithium battery.

Nice intro video. One small observation, it would’ve been good to have the close-up shot of the buttons and display as you were cycling through them.

I agree with your observation. Essentially what you requested is the difference between a radio show and a television show. KZfaq creators will tell you that one minute of video equals 30 mins of editing or more. For the average viewer it something that is hard to understand until you do it. . The reason this demo is lacking is not desire just time and effort.

Great to see a cheaper alternative to the Acaia luna which has cornered the market for so long. Also, the nano shows the battery charge level, which is something lacking from the acaia.

It would be useful if your camera focused on the scale more closely. It is difficult to see the screen and the buttons.

I don't know why but this review was fascinating, props to everybody involved. I'm interested in this because my highest priority is having a rechargeable battery (usb-c is a plus over mini-usb), and also it needs to fit under an espresso machine, I won't use any of the fancy modes though so the price is quite steep for what it is in the end

Does the pour over timer stop if you lift off the vessel to swirl?

In Pour Over Timing Mode, the timer will begin as soon as water starts flowing. If the brewer is removed, the timer will stop and the brewing time will flash (40 second minimum for this to happen). If you put the brewer back on the platform and quick-press the timer button once more, it will continue weighing and timing. Quick press the timer button again to end recording. However, in the standard mode, the timer will not stop no matter what you do.

I really want to love this scale but unfortunately it constantly drifts when using my chemex

I've had 2 of these and they both experienced drift/creep in both directions. Sometimes so bad to the point where the scale is unusable. Unacceptable for a $100 scale.

@@rafa3lvargas I just got the new Turin scale. Works very well, no drift issues. Before that I was using the Greater Goods pocket scale.

This scale is a tad large for the Flair Pro 2, but the Pro Scale XC2000 is a perfect fit!

TLDR; Product lasted 5 months, customer service does not even reply. I purchased the Timemore Pro scale. Living in Germany, there is basically no customer service for this product. I would never buy Timemore again. I am posting this under every review of this product.

Sorry that was your experience. We have many customers who have been happy with their Black Mirror they have purchased from us. And for our customers, there is exceptional customer service. Where you shop for your equipment matters.
