I see this stuff and I can't shake the idea that it could die! Back in the late 1960's and earliy 1970's This is what my house used to look like when my Dad's birthday came to be. Custom cars, bikes, trucks, and anything else you could think of was at Dad's birthday parties. 06/25/xxxx, Waukesha Wisconsin was the place to be for the Oil Burners Hotrod Association and short track racing, as well as the drag strip! Dad used to build for Schleper's Speed Shop back before I was born, Mom was the book keeper, and John was a ledgend! I went to John's 80th B day party a few years ago, and I had the best time talking with him. I was an engine builder for the DOD in diesel, but the things we had in common were huge! We both thought the same, our ideas were the same, things we had done in life were the same, we were the same type of people! I get that from Mom and Dad, God rest his soul! Never let this stuff DIE!

Really appreciated the show before the show. When I go to the races I always enjoy the qualifying, that way I get to see all the cars and all the builds in action. I love the true racers and what comes out their shops, garages and sheds. The Pros get a little boring, it’s almost alway the same 16 over and over. Big shout to the fine ladies supporting these racers.

Always fun to watch Old School Drags, and see the vintage tin.
