fun fact: female caribou have antlers! They keep theirs all year round while the males lose theirs after mating season iirc, so depending on the time of year, if you saw a herd of caribou and some had antlers and some didn't, it'd be the opposite of what you might expect based off of deer

Can you make a bunny villager who's ears are not upright? Bunny villagers in Animal crossing are known for their "Upright ears".So as Shino broke the trend of female deers not having horns, can you make a bunny villager who breaks the trend of straight upright ears? Also because most of the bunny villagers look wierd

If you really wanna lean in on the mythology angle, her catchphrase could be nymph, sprite, or something along those lines. If you just want it be general nature things, I think a cute catchphrase could be bloom, rosey, ivy, tulip, or something else based on more decorative plant life like flowers.

When you get to the lion villager, you should make it a cyclops. Because the lion model would really fit with the classic shape of a cyclops.

Something about the eyes feels too plain to me, but I really like the rest. I think the eyes could do with some colored irises and some defined edges to look cleaner and brighter.

Based on the horns Shino appears to be based off of an antelope, where the females do have horns. Beau, Bruce, Lopez and Zell are all based off of antelope.

I really love the way her horns look, and the spots on her face. My only complaint is that, the entire time, I thought her eyes were too high up. That was my only change that I would make. But otherwise, she is perfect!

I was sure it was going to be a spooky cubone-looking deer after you pulled up that picture, but no, you were talking about the antlers and not the terrifying deer skull.

I think for the alligator villager you should give him a metal lower jaw and name him “LockJaw”

I think her catchphrase should be "little dew" or "dew-dew" or something that contain dew in it, A dew is the Little droplets that flowers or any sort of plants leaves after it rains and if you want the personality of Squeaky, I suggest Smug or Lazy

Tara is my dreamie now!! If I had her, I'd definitely gift her the plumeria pin and green sweetheart tank, they look sooo good on her!! I think she turned out beautiful. I'd think her house would definitely have the forest wallpaper and tons of plans! You did such a good job on her!!

I would have personally given her soft golden freckles beneath her eyes. But she still turned out beautiful overall. For phrase, even tho I'm totally late, I like the idea of "lil sprout" or "lil sprite" which can relate to earth or mythology and saying "lil" kind of adds a motherly tone to her :) like you're her lil sprout/sprite and she loves you.

Personally, when I thought of a nature-based deer creature, my mind immediately went to Shishigami from Princess Mononoke. It's interesting how we interpret similar ideas in different ways. I love her shirt and how well the color of her horns matches with the fabric of her shirt, and her little golden arms, legs and ears gave Terra such a warm glow- like she was standing in front of the sun. So pretty!! Some critiques: I think her eyes are a little plain. I think a different eye color (maybe pink like her flower? or blue like her shirt?) or a less ovular eye shape would help. Winne's lower eyelid gives her a similar eye-shape to Terra, but it also makes her expression more interesting as a result. But if you're happy with the eye shape, some vine-inspired eye makeup might help as well. I think blending her snout in with her face with a similar gradient as to what's on her arms and legs might help unify her look, and I like the placements of the spots- just wish they were a bit sharper/clearer like the spots on Charlise, Drift, or Frobert. I think it would make them pop out more and be striking. Oh, and I think her little hooves (read, shoes) should be more visible. All the Deer villagers have hooves that are either darker or lighter than their legs. I think by making her hooves the color of her horns/spots, it will complete the look but make her look less fauna-like. As far as a catchphrase goes, Terra has a few options. "Terra Mater" or mother earth is the full name of the goddess, so she could say "mater" (mother), or she could say "child" as if she's calling the person she's talking to a child- might drive home the motherly nature. I actually like the latter best. Let's plug in some dialogue, yeah? _" I love how chill it is here. Like, you can sleep till noon and nobody even notices, _*_child!_*_ "_ _" And yeah, my place looks kinda weird with outdoor stuff indoors, but trust me-- it's awesome, _*_child!_*_ "_ _" PLAYER who did this to your face? The whole entire video I was thinking of the name Gaia for her but Terra is a really good one, too! I really enjoy this series and hope you continue it! You sounded discouraged when mentioning it in another video and I was worried you might abandon the idea but I'm happy to see a second installment! As for her catchphrase, I think something like pine or fern would be cute! Or something having to do with forest growth 😊 or maybe something like flourish!

Considering we have Pietro as a character, I think arching dots isn't too much at all I think she looks good for what you were going for! I would have maybe moved her pupils in a little more toward her nose and make them a little bigger. She looks a lil wall eyed but I love the concept, the pattern on the face is fantastic and I love the gold accents, especially on the eye shadow

I feel like the phrase, “sunshine” or “sunny” would be really fitting, assuming no one else has it. Edit: I checked, Sydney already has “sunshine” as her phrase. No one has “sunny”.

I honestly think the main problem is the coloring. we already have a lot of light brown deer villagers, so a different color or darker variant might have been cool? also their markings are usually VERY eye-catching, which allows the antlers to be more extreme in shape (some exceptions are Shino, where both the antlers and eye makeup share a color and guide your eye, and Beau, who is just... some guy, honestly) maybe the pink flower on her antlers could inspire some markings or makeup?

This would be perfect for a cottage core island

Maybe keep the base color on the nose bridge and curve/extend the muzzle color towards the cheeks to form the illusion of cheekbones. Also a beauty mark. If you still want spots it might be worth seeing if you can make them form a circlet around the antlers.

Shino doesn't have antlers, she has horns. If you look closely the horns are coming from her forehead and curving in, rather than braching out like a set of antlers on the top of her head. This is meant to give her a more mythical look, as she doesn't look exactly like a realistic deer.

Idea: Since Squeaky was designed with the 1920s design in mind, we could have other animation designs for villagers, ie an anime designed cat, a comic book designed wolf, etc.

FYI, in nature, does generally don't have antlers, but certain species do. I think doe reindeer have smaller antlers, but some have larger antlers, I think female caribou and gazelles. Female deer not having antlers is more of a guideline, not a rule. Anyway, great job! Tara is very cute. Wish I was talented enough to redesign my game.

Shino does not actually have antlers, at least in my opinion she has demon horns. Like literally she has a phrase “Better the *Demon* you know than the one you do not.”

Also slight correction Terra is more often a latin word for Soil, ground Earth (In the context of mud/soil) rather than the planet. But that still works very well with this character.

I was honestly hoping you would give her snout a similar gradient as her ears and arms, I think that would have been a nice subtle detail, it could have been as small as just the light gold around her nose fading into the Brown. fun fact, there is one group in the deer family where both male and female have antlers. That being the Reindeer :) But i dont think Shino is supposed to represent a Reindeer, but a normal deer that has the hannya mask as a theme, therefore she got some horns
