Seeing Keanu Reeves in a link cosplay was really cool

Honestly? That Link cosplay and wig aren't half bad for the price. For like a halloween or cosplayer just starting out? It's better than some more expensive ones out there

For $55, that cosplay set is fantastic. With some customization like measuring and resizing the armbands and making the straps look more worn, it'd be a great outfit to build on. Also, wigs typically require some work to get them in presentable shape, so what you got is actually decent. Ngl, I'm impressed.

coming from a cosplayer, that wig looks pretty good actually! pretty much all cosplay wigs come packaged like that, and the wig doesnt look too shiney, and seems relatively thick! if it came with a black net, that is called a wig cap. You use it to put all of your hair up before putting on the wig, and itll fit alot better :) The best way to tell if a cosplay wig is good quality is this 1) how shiney it is 2) how full it is (look under the cap and see how many lines of hair it has, the more the better) and 3) how large the wig base is/ does it include adjusting straps. It really doesnt take alot to make a nice wig, its the styling that makes a wig look incredible! (so keep that iin mind anytime you see a cosplayer with a great wig. it likely took alot of time and effort to get it that way)

The Master Sword is probably a good representation of size. Link is only 4ft 9i in BotW, so if the sword was custom made for his size, it may be an appropriate length.

didn't the wig come with a tiny black net? you're supposed to use that to hold your hair back when you put on the wig. usually all wigs come with that, even cheap ones

my favourite part of your videos are when you're reading something completely wild and you're trying to stay deadpan but your voice cracks just a little bit and you can tell you're holding back laughter lmao it gets me every time

“You get what you pay for” isn’t so bad as long as you expect to get what you pay for.

To be honest, $40 for a cosplay sword is typical. Specially for foam. Most cosplayers will carry foam or rare cases wooden props. Usually never metal. I've seen metal master swords usually in the $60-100 range at conventions. As you said, its more of a display piece/cosplay piece.

Most Conventions has rules about weapon props. They must be nonharm to other people and that's why the master sword is made with foam.

Cosplayer here! That is standard packaging for wigs! And for a link wig that one is honestly pretty good! If you gave it a little touch up and treated it well it could definitely work really well!

If a shirt doesn't say what fabric it's made of and it doesn't feel like cotton, especially if it's cheap, it's almost certainly polyester.

Honestly, the cosplay looks pretty decent, I’ve seen many reviews of discount store cosplays like Wish and Ali Express that are bad but this changes things, 25:27 you look like a bearded, black haired version of Link which, not gonna lie I kinda like 👍

As someone who paid for a $3 bang clip in from ali and then tweaked it slightly. I had people who are cosplayers not know if my costume was with my actual hair or not. I think you dont know the gist of what you got there and the price you could have paid for things.

I don’t think you got scammed. The price was right, you look more than halfway decent, with a little more refinement you’d look as if you had paid much more. Maybe you could do a video on that - DIY Before and after, spending as little $$$ as possible🤷🏻‍♀️Find friends who could volunteer to sew, alter, etc. or give advice as to how to “fix” the look.
