Perhaps one of the most fun transcriptions I've ever done! Tea for two has always been one of my favorite songs; and actually, Art Tatum's famous Tea For Two transcription was the very first transcription I've ever played, and it's part of what inspired me to start transcribing when I was in college in 2013! Here's Pierre-Yves fantastic rendition.

WoW! By seeing it written out, one can see the little tricks Plat does. The Spanish grandmaster on guitar, Segovia, said in a masterclass: "The secret is that if something is difficult for you, there is something you do wrong." Someone else can play it with ease so it is playable with ease. Everything else means there are one or more wrong moves or faulty thoughts involved.

@@TimothyGondola Hi Timothy, I want to bring to your attention that, as far as I know, it is not possible to achieve high levels of proficiency on the piano in one life. A friend of mine who is a top talent, as they say, told me that he was a concert pianist in a former life and a struggling pianist before that. He went into modern music. He could not stand to have to play a Mozart concerto for the 10.000th time. Remembering the past has advantages and disadvantages. A half-friend of mine thought he was improvising in a classical manner for ballet lessons. He asked to come along and then have a beer. I discovered various classical fragments. He was completely unaware he was playing actual phrases. It shocked him. He thought he was hired for his improvisations but in actual fact they hired him because he mixed 'known' classical stuff all up. The ballet teachers thought he did it on purpose, consciously. But he didn't . He went to a psych and he got drugs and he could not do it any more. He never played piano again. So, be careful with this knowledge.
