Don't think I've ever clicked on a video so fast! :D My favourite new guitar player on my favourite youtube show! The artists you invite to these things have consistently been so top-shelf, I'm learning so much from every single video.

Mark puts on the blinker and moves out of the groove for a bit then brings it back into the groove lane just in time before he hits the oncoming semi truck of timing great lesson this time and end jam

I remember the show you guys did with Mateus Asato when he was naming favorite current guitar players. Mark Lettieri of Snarky Puppy was mentioned. Snarky what????? Sounds like something that would bite your hand if you tried to pet it. lol A quick internet search opened up a wonderful world of both Snarky Puppy and Mark Lettieri. I went right back to the Mateus Asato video and requested Mark Lettieri as a future guest. Like a dream come true, here it is. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think, I've written here before - no matter, whenever I see this video, I like it better! My kind of music, no fixed arrangement, find together while playing - suddendly it becomes MUSIC! I love the surprising play of Mark, but you all together: GREAT! Every tone show's pure joy in music. Unfortunately far beyond my capabilities. Releasing the notes, without chains of music theory, my dream, but the goal is far away and real, patient teachers are rare.

Great show, guys, thanks! Interesting what Mark was saying about plugging in but wearing unplugged headphones. I often do the same thing, because I've found that even though I'm not hearing as much high end (obviously!), I"m also not hearing the "rustle noise" off the fingerboard. So it's a bit more like what the amp hears, yet without the inhibitive aspect of all the presence of the plugged-in sound. Not sure that makes any sense and, admittedly, it's a little weird!

I am always "stunned" too, when I see him playing! Small consolation - Tim's conclusion: Enough to learn for the next THREE YEARS ...(me - ever?) Many great Artists describe it like this: it is not "their ability", but rather it "realizes" itself "through them". They "get lost" in art.
