Romanized Russian Lyrics:
V komnate odin
Ya smotryu na zvyozdy v oknah
Posmotri na nih
Esli hocheshʹ dajhe s neba
Ty v Rostove tam
Nu a ja skuchayu v Groznom
Posmotri na nih
Posmotri ya umirayu
Milye zelyonye glaza
A v glazah zhemchuzhina sleza
Ne zabudu ja ih nikogda
Ty pridi ko mne mechta moja
Mojhet bytʹ i ty
Kak i ja tam povstrechaeshʹ
Ty menja najdi
A pri vstreche mne rasskajheshʹ
Kak menja jhdala
Kak po zvezdam ty iskala
Kak menja nashla
Kak ot radosti rydala
Milye zelyonye glaza
A v glazah zhemchuzhina sleza
Ne zabudu ja ih nikogda

I used to have a tatar girlfriend with the most beautiful green eyes and the smile in the world. Along with her kind personality. We were in a long distance relationship, I was able invite her to my country 2 times. She was living in Russia. We had the greatest time of our lives. She wanted to move to my country, Turkey to live with me but the bad economy and me with no money was not helping this dream. I started to learn Russian to communicate better with her. The fate did not smile on us, there was no future. 3 years of a great long relationship. First time I listened to this song it hit me very hard because I will never forget those eyes. Rimma if you are listening to this, I'm hoping you a great life just as your humble heart deserves.

Its songs like this that I wish more people saw. It shows warfare from the side of a soldier. No streaming banners, no trumpets playing as parades march, pure reality. The way he sings sounds like his words come from the heart rather then just his head. This has become one of my favorite songs, just because of how beautiful and mildly sad it is.

If you don't know: Chechens existed as a nation since 7000 BC and was called Vainakhs and Nakh and Malki people before. Living sedentary lives and doing what other civilizations did. Those people had civilization at same level as Greeks and Persians, but much smaller in scale. For 9000 years you can never hear Chechen being in any offensive war. If anything, Vainakhs defeated Mongols twice... the only nation to do so... effectively cutting extending Mongol supply lines and concentrating most of effort on Western front, saving other innocent European settlements from tragedy ...in expense of their own civilization and 70-80% of it's population. It was also possible that Black plague started in Caucasus, because Castles were almost unreachable (on top of mountains) and tatars / mongols would often toss disease ridded bodies into water sources or over the walls, effectively killing everyone inside. That's why Chechen now live in Clans (kind of tribes). If the capital were to fall, clan leaders can still act and wage war on their own. Small, independent forces are great for guerilla style ambush attacks or spartan style last stands on narrow mountain roads, where they fight enemy face to face, in close combat. Same goes for Caliphate, Tatars / Turkic subordinates, Cossack raids. Russia however, massacred Chechens 4 times...two of them being literally genocides within less than 45 years apart and starting 75 years ago. ), metal Crime rate is lower than rest of Russia and most parts of Europe. Robberies and random murders are very rare. Crime is mostly perpetuated by mafia (between criminal members) and political assassinations. There are honor killings as well, but it's rare, since people live within rules. Rapes never happen and if does, it's certain death sentence... even if you get caught by police, someone will visit your cell with a champagne bottle, break it inside your ass and beat your face into a disgusting blob of human meat and leave you there to have a slow death.

Yes- this one has a rather interesting story, since the singer of this version is Chechen, and mostly made songs for the other side (even one in honor of famous terrorist Shamil Basayev), however, this one is obviously from the perspective of a Russian soldier, seeing as he sings about his girlfriend or wife who is in Rostov, a city in Russia. There are also multiple covers of this song by Russian soldiers, including the one I linked in the pinned comment.

This song is so good, by far my favourite war song. It's so beautiful and really addicting. I have listened to it so many times throughout this year and yet I still enjoy it so much. It makes one feel such a unique feeling that I can't quite describe though no matter how many times I listen to this song I will still want to listen to it again. I have listened to it for at least 5 times in a row today, probably the most ever in a row, and I still want to listen to it again despite that it caused me to be so distracted by it's beautiful so much that I literally missed my bus stop even though I can't even hear it well with my headphones.(no cap) 💀 Still, 100/10 would hopefully not do that again.

@@alibabapro1071 The nationalist movement fastly turned into building "Caucasus Emirate" with huge international involvement (Saudi volunteers, sponsorship from about 50 USA companies, including $700k transaction to Shamil Basayev right before his attack on Dagestan in 1999 that caused the Second Chechen war), and that is why leaders of modern Chechnya (Kadyrov family) who first fought as separatists then sided with the Federation to resist foreign wahhabites. In 1999, even Russian president Yeltsin (who was a puppet of the USA) threatened his ex-buddy Clinton with nukes for meddling in Chechnya. For example, former CIA official Graham E. Fuller openly suggested in his article to guide the muslim insurgents in Russia the same way how it worked in Afghanistan (btw, his daughter was married to an uncle of Boston bombers, moreover he was accused for 2016 Turkish coup d'etat attempt).

I didn't want to hurt you, I was a bad boyfriend. I just can't take it anymore, this loneliness. When I wake up, and there is none left from you, only this big teddy-bear I just start to cry. I'm just too scared to write to you and to say: I miss you. I habe promised You that I won't leave You and I am still waiting for the day You'll come back. P.S.: I'm really sorry for writing this here, I just don't know where to go, where to be and where to sleep. I am really sorry again.

@@sloptek1807 Its not just humor, its a fact. The Soviet Union was a regime responsible for tens of millions of deaths. Everywhere except Russia suffered from the high poverty, ethnic disputes, and genocides you mentioned while in the USSR. The only wars I can think of that were related were the 2 Chechen Wars, the Russo-Georgian War, and the War in Donbass, all of which, ironically, were caused by Russian imperialism in an attempt to regain their former power. Quality of life, economy, and human rights have improved, in some capacity, for the vast majority of post-soviet states. The only genocides and ethnic disputes since the USSR, in Europe, were all in the Balkans, which were all caused by the end of Yugoslavia, not the USSR. I mean, just look at the Baltic States both during and after the USSR. They went from impoverished, genocided, totalitarian hell holes to modern, wealthy, democratic, and with a high quality of life. They went from some of the worst places to live to the best in a matter of a couple decades.

Bearing in mind my previous experience of conversions with hundreds of idiots like you who were brainwashed by anti-Soviet propaganda, I will not even argue with you. I hope you at least try to study/restudy the history of Russia and the Republics adequately, and not from the position of a naive anti-communist who doesn't even understand what he actually hates.
