Atlanta had 35 free throws to the Fever's 11. When you get 24 more free throws and still lose, that's bad. The refs tried to gift y'all the game 🤣

And the coach complained about not getting calls in the 1st quarter. Too much complaining about referees by players who need to focus on their basketball skills or lack of. Coach admonished players for it and then got a technical on an obvious holding by her player. Press conference of empty boasting.😂

A big part of that free throw discrepancy is due to the Dream playing poor defense. They are giving up a lot of "open" shots, especially open layups, because the help defense is slow. So, when the shots are open, there are no fouls. And, on the other end, the Dream offense is not creating open looks and all but a few paint shots and layups are contested. Thus, more fouls and free throws.

Only people ignorant about the WNBA would say that. Aces and Storm frequently sold out large arenas the last few years - 11,000 to 17,000 in attendance. Liberty had over 17,000 at playoff games last year. Two-thirds of the league last year (BEFORE CC) averaged between 6,500 and 11,500 at games. A few teams sell out games, but have smaller arenas.

She is playing PG due to injuries. As a rookie, 2 PG's were injured in overlapping weeks, so she got thrust into that role, as she has good court vision. And, this season, Jordin Canada has been out all season and would be the starting PG. Again Haley is being used as the starting PG when she is not quite ready for that position, as a young 2nd year player. She's good, though. She has had several double figure point games this season and as many as 18 points in the past.

It took the NBA about 40 years to become popular. The league was a mess in the 70's and the finals were not even aired live on TV. The WNBA has actually advanced much faster in it's first 3 decades than the NBA did. The NBA only started getting attention with Magic and Bird and then Jordan increased attention when he arrived.

They do need shooters. But, a disagree about the "height". Their starting 5 for most of the season are all 6' and above. And your comment about point guard is overlooking that their starting PG has been injured and out all season; but, she came back today. Look how other teams do when the starting PG is out: see the Aces as an example with Chelsea out.

@wenonahgreen6501 WNBA overall isn't that good, and too many of their star players are petty and jealous. Do you think they deserve to be paid anywhere near an NBA player? Personally, I think it's ludicrous that the players make less than say a marketer working for the league, although the players aren't playing all year. CC's fans came over from being college fans. Stop being jealous. And yes? CC's defense can improve, but she isn't overhyped. The WNBA players, even rookies personally hate her and downplay her college records and achievements. That's petty jealousy, and if you or they can't understand that she's bringing a mu h needed energy to a welfare league, then that's your problem.
