During the extended twenty-minute rendition of "Let The Sunshine In" ( 1970), Diana Ross walked through the audience and let some of the guests sing the title-chorus of the song; some of these guests included Tina Turner, Smokey Robinson and his wife Claudette, Marvin Gaye, Frank and
Nancy Sinatra, Dick Clark, Lou Rawls, Steve Allen and Bill Russell.
"Farewell" is a 1970 live album by Diana Ross & the Supremes. The album was recorded over the course of the group's final engagement together at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, including the final night on January 14, 1970.
The show marked Diana Ross' penultimate performance with fellow Supremes members Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong. At the conclusion of the show, new Supremes lead singer Jean Terrell was brought onstage and introduced to the audience.
The live album was issued as a two-LP deluxe edition box set, produced by Deke Richards. The album was reissued as a gatefold two-LP set under the title Captured Live on Stage! in 1982, and as a two-disc compact disc reissue "Captured Live on Stage!" , in 1992.

I don't know how every thinks so negative of Diana. I've met her kissed her she has pushed many artists to higher heights she stood in the door for many at a time when none where let in world wide. Destiny's Child, commodores, Michael, Whitney, and hundreds of others. Know the total history. She stood outside of Motown for weeks on the sidewalk even in the rain before they let her in and wheeled the Supremes to the #1 Worldwide act. Then got nominated for an oscar without any acting lessons. She is a Diva originale. Always Respect Diana!

@tinpanally51_36 No. Johnny Taylor discovered Michael Jackson. The affection that he shows Ross is always evident . Ross had them live in her home where she cared for the boys. They love Diana so much, she inducted them into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Cher was a good friend to Tina, they first met in about 1966, while Tina was recording River Deep, and Cher was doing session for Spector. Cher visited Tina in Switzerland in her last months.

I read a book her agent or someone close to her wrote and they said she gave Diana a ;lot of attitude when Diana was being nice to her.

@@Maatization It's been said that Tina was miffed at Diana because she thought Diana knew about the abuse Ike heaped on Tina and, did nothing. Instead it was Ann Margret who helped Tina. Remember, Ross was arguably the most successful black female artist of the 70s. Turner thought she had to know. The story is the two met in a restaurant back in the 80s during Tina's comeback. Tina supposedly confronted Ross with Ross denying hearing about the violence. I guess it was sort of resolved. They were thought to be friendly but not close.

What you probably did not know is that Diana Ross supported Tina Turner and attended her shows, especially the important ones and spoke highly of her, after Tina left Ike and did not have her comeback yet. They were not best friends, but Diana supported her artistry. That is what I was looking to see but Diana does not publish that, or the author may not have known that or could find it.

Diana lives in the states and has a whole family she can’t check up on all her friends. I’ll say they were definitely fond of each other. Did you see the documentary?! I believe they respected each other and were friendly. Maybe not the type of relationship that Cher had with Tina. Also, do some of you people not understand that people are not always in the public when they talk and hang out. As social media should have shown you, these public friendships/relationships are not always what they appear. Tina will be missed and I hope that we have Diana for a long time. I only know/knew them thru the music that has been done.
