There's an old saying that Tina Turner was put on earth to teach women to dance in high heels. I couldn't walk in those!!!!
@RustyDust1014 жыл бұрын
In one concert (I believe it was in the Netherlands, but I ain't sure) she had this platform that could drive her approximately 15 meters into the audience. But she was raised approximately 2 meters above the crowd. No, it was not the later crane-platform, but a plattform flush with the stage. Yeah, sure, Tina rode it into the crowd, and the crowd went wild. But then when the stage crew brought the plattform back to the stage Tina didn't have enough yet. So she sat down in her mini-skirt, dangled her legs over the edge of the plattform, and jumped down onto the ramp. Then she really got into contact with the audience. If you watched the crew you could see security had NOT been informed about this trick. You could really see them hurrying to 'contain' the situation. But Tina obviously loved it, because she handed the microphone back and forth among the crowd to answer her calls. It was damn bloody amazing. Oh, did I forget to mention that she did that stunt in stiletto high-heels? Yeah, sure she did! BTW: if anyone could link me to that concert, I'd be much obliged. Cause it was awesome.

@@RustyDust101 I think you mean the Wildest Dreams tour of '96. A dvd recording was made at one of the Amsterdam shows. That flush platform with russian style flags around it (for the 007 song goldeneye she did) was in this tour. Enjoy, I still get the chills from that dvd :)

@@popland1977 That was last year, Tina's been in pretty good shape since. Infact she has attended all the launches of her musicals in Europe, even when she broke a hip last year, her overall health had greatly improved by then compared to what it was about 2 to 3 years earlier. She's obviously an elderly woman and might not make a full recovery, she's been through a lot in a very short space of time, kidney failure, cancer, stroke and her son's suicide! There's been lots of fake news exaggerating the state of her health, according to her she is well at this present moment and living life. If you know anything about Tina, you'd know that she's not keen on promos so she'd avoid it as much as possible even if she were 100% healthy, she's been a recluse since her retirement.
