The painless wax kept breaking because you applied it too thinly. Hot wax needs to be applied thickly and with pressure. I also recommend using a talc free powder under the arms before applying wax and it makes it easier if you sweat. You need to use a pre waxing cleanser to remove any deodorant, sweat etc to ensure the wax is able to do it's job. Also please don't rip the wax straight up, rip up on an angle. Sincerely, a qualified beautician.

Great reply Brooke. I have found you can usually pick up the pieces of wax left behind on the first pull by placing the pulled strip right over it that area and pressing hard. There are commercially available lotions to use to soothe any pain and reduce the redness. I wipe the area with Hydrogen Peroxide and rub a speck of oil over the area (not too much oil, you don't want to clog pores).

Hi, I'm a professional esthetician. So basically with the "painless" hard wax, you have to be aware of the time you leave the wax on. It's supposed to be fast so you can't let it dry too much and that's why it breaks off like it did. also, It's not painless because it's still removing hair, it's just gentler on the skin. Notice how he didn't bleed or get so red like the regular wax. Last thing, the painless wax is not the original brand, I use Starpil wax for my waxing services. I enjoyed your video though. Super funny and I love how you hep us all out before we order these things. Keep up the good work!

I usually use baby powder under the wax so it doesn't stick too much on my skin, but more on the hair. Might have helped with the bleeding Edit: Thanks for all the thumbs up :)

kloikeef ... My beautician used baby powder when waxing me because I’m diabetic and have dry sensitive skin. It certainly helps to reduce the pain too!

@@ashleywilliams9732 Apply on your skin and distribute it a little so it's a thin layer 👍then apply the wax as usual. I used to get waxed at my local beauty salon and they did it every time. Sometimes they would also disinfect at the beginning and always apply Aloe Vera cream after. Now I am pretty good at waxing my armpits on my own

Or you can take the wax that you pull off and dab it on the wax that’s left on your arm and it comes off. In her situation because it was so hard it probably wouldn’t work.

The painless wax works it's just that the armpits are very sensitive so if you did your legs it wouldn't hurt. I bought the painless wax and mine was good it works and it was flexible and did not break apart.

Really dont see why people think theres a such thing as a painless wax. Its not the actual wax that hurts. If you were to wax a completely hairless part of the body, it wouldnt hurt at all. Its the whole ripping hair out from the follicle part that hurts and theres really no way around that with wax. Hard wax (wax that doesnt use a strip) is better for your skin, but it doesnt hurt any less

Nyssa Swearingen-Mallada i prefer the hot wax because cold wax does rlly hurt me and its cheaper but the hot wax is kinda way more but u will for only 2$ for the hot wax and hot wax is using a strip and the cold wax just doesn’t use any wax strips at all

She's not trained either. This is what a lot of DIY waxers hurt themselves. She should've used baby powder for the sweat and larger sections so it's not a bunch of small pain.

You waited too long for the purple wax that's why it wasn't working. It needed to be a little bit warm to be flexible. Words from a actual waxer

I would wait about 15-20 second it should be warm and a little bit hard to the touch but not cool or too stiff. If it's too cool it will chip and break off. Hard wax is finicky it takes some time to get used to. It should have the consistency of room temperature honey not too hot it will burn. It shouldn't have the same consistency of regular warm wax. Apply and wait for about 15-20 seconds. I leave the application stick on the spot in which I want to pull the hard wax off and can usually tell by how the stick feels on the wax. It should be stiff and buy slightly pliable if that makes sense. I hope this helps

I've tried it before and you've got to do a pretty thick layer and you can't wait too long to pull it off. So that it's dry enough not to stick to your finger when you touch it but it's still warm

Sabrina's Soliloquy you don't and she did it right. Almost. She did it on his armpits. Which on all people are sensitive areas. It's different on face or legs. Practically painless. Kinda feels like warm gummy sap and being taken off isn't entirely painless but it's extremely tolerable
