I think the "yellow" counter matches the gold hardware. It doesn't look bad at all. Congrats on your new home!

An easy and cost efficient way is using peel and stick for the countertop as well

Just curious, did your contractor polish out the coating on the cabinets before applying new colour?

Thanks! He sanded the surface because he said otherwise the paint wouldn’t stick as well. So he actually made the cabinet rougher.

Great paint colours for the kitchen. Hopefully you'll be able to get a new counter top soon. About the wallpaper, it's lovely. To me, it looks upside down the way you put it. I might be wrong, but I think the stems should point down (\|/) not up (/|\). If that makes sense, but it's your choice what looks right. Does the packaging have a picture? Anyway, can't wait to see more. 😊

Omg!!!! You are so right, I put it upside down 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’ve been looking at it for days now and did not notice. Good thing I just hung it up as a temporary thing before doing the whole wall. Good catch!!

Really enjoying this process and makeover! It's also really nice and reassuring to see that one does not need to spend a ton of money and make a ton of changes to make a space look brand new and refreshed! I totally noticed the intro angles of the video, love it! Can't wait to see everything finished! :)

Hi Tina! Nice makeover result so far. I like how you’re implementing your favorite mint green color into the kitchen. If you’re not so sure about the wallpaper for the bathroom you can just use what you have installed so far and make a frame around it so it’s like a picture. This still adds color to your bathroom but allows you to change out the picture/colors. You could use different wallpaper or a painting you can buy from ikea. So if you get sick of the wallpaper it wouldn’t be as huge of a hassle in changing it out. Just an idea. I like your DIY projects! Your videos are always fun and interesting.

That countertop wouldn't be my first choice either, but I think it looks pretty alright with the new paint - sort of like a mint chocolate vibe.

Very nice Tina, I love the minty green cabinets. How much would a reasonable-priced counter top cost? But hey you did a pretty good job otherwise. I can't wait to see what else you've got planned. 😊😊😊
