Tinnitus is a condition when a person hears a sound when there is no sound stimulus. It arises when the input to the auditory nerves is decreasing, for example during silence, which causes a shift in the balance between the nerves in our brain and increased neuronal activity.

My tinnitus started exactly when lockdown started 2020. I woke up and my right ear was completely blocked. Due to the lockdown i had to suffer the blocked ear for 1 week. After that i consulted an Ent specialist and she told it's tinnitus. She also told me to take a MRI scan, where im having no issue. I also took audiogram and found out that I've a small hearing loss also. During initial time i was fully depressed because i had nothing to distract the sound. English medicines didn't make any difference and i went to homeopathy and i found some relief. I met with an road accident on 2017 and had a surgery in head. The doctors are assuming that the accident might be the reason for tinnitus. It's been 2 years and sometimes i hear , sometimes I'll be busy with my life that i completely forget. But the really sad part is i cant experience Silence and moreover due to the hearing loss , i cant match volume on my left and right ears while listening to music. Usually during exam times i get the peak sound inside my ears.. To all those who have tinnitus, you are not alone , we all are with you.. My advice is as said in the video try to forget that you have tinnitus , just dont care , do your tasks and important dont use Noice Cancelling Headphones or Earphones. Listen to some brown sounds.. I'll pray for everyone who's having tinnitus :)

I also have had tinnitus for about as long as I can remember, at least by about 10 years old when I became aware of it. I was never exposed to any loud noises, and passed every hearing test, except that I was missing one particular frequency. I lived in a very, very quiet place, I assumed, and still think maybe my brain was trying to put sound where sound didn't exist. I also had mild hallucinations back then where I would see amazing moving patterns in the dark at night, with eyes closed, or at night looking at the sky. I should note that I had very poor vision that was undiagnosed at the time. Back then, the ringing in my ears was a low pitch, like a gong, or an old bell. I'm now 57 years old, the sound, which doesn't really bother me that much, and never really has except in quiet conditions, is very high pitched, but also very constant, ringing at this very moment. Those night time visual hallucinations, which only happened in pitch darkness and were pretty amazing actually, I believe to be related to sensory deprivation. I think tinnitus is also related to that, but that is just my guess.

My dear friend, i had tinnitus in my right ear when 2 years ago, a few months later i had a serious ear infection that ended up with tinnitus in my left ear and problems with my hearing. At that time it was my first month in university and i was having trouble with talking to people and listening to the lectures. I started to develop insomnia and depression. I literally didnt do anything but staying in bed for 3 months. Most of my friends and the girl i was talking with left me. My grades were really bad. One day I decided that this should not go like this anymore, this is not life meant to be I started exercising and going to school and studying again. It was really hard to start, but when i started i stopped thinking about tinnitus. It is just there, i cant do anything about it. Now i have good grades in med school and i play tennis in amateur level And the bad thing about my situation is even tough i stopped going to parties, drinking alcohol, listening to loud music it just keeps going worse. But Im not planning to give up in life because of a sound I know it is not easy, but there are many things in life. When you start doing things you really like, you forget about that sound. I hope message this helps you, stay strong. Life is too short to be sad And yes i also have trouble with reading, i usually open the window or listen classical music to relax. It really helps

Be patient, you will definitely get used to it. I have had tinnitus since February this year, and with Mindfulness exercises and exercise such as cycling, walking, etc. I have become used to the sound, and it took me about 7 months to get there. It doesn't bother me anymore, and sometimes I don't even hear it. Stress makes the tinnitus worse, so try to relax, that's why Mindfulness is a very good remedy. Don't go looking for a cure, because it doesn't exist (yet). And another tip, check out this KZfaq channel, lots of videos with information about tinnitus: www.youtube.com/@treblehealth Hang on in there, it will take some time, but you'll be fine!

Nice video, you work has gotten a lot better, even though I'm not a medical school student I have watched some of your previous works and I have found it entertaining. 'Ignore it' it's not good advice. I'm 20, and I've had it since I was 14 or something. My tinnitus is like a shitty migraine where I can't think properly or focus well when writing articles for uni. Personally, tinnitus therapy sounds have helped me a bit, and has made it a lot more bearable when it comes to writing essays and whatnot. I find that most people saying to simply suck it up haven't had it for such a long period of time. It effects you in more ways than one, and it definitely effects the ability to focus.

I believe that I've had tinnitus from birth, as a little kid, I use to meditate on that high pitch sound. I thought for a long time that everyone heard this noise. I believed it was just the noise our brains made. My Mom has had tinnitus from the age of 30 after being traumatized by her ex husband constant death treats and mental abuse. Hers is more like an intense ringing as opposed to me, a high pitch sound. My grand father had tinnitus as well. When I get annoyed or angry the sound get louder, and my ears get very sensitive. Any loud high pitch noise, will hit me like an icepick in my central nervous system. At that point I could do anything to make that noise stop, to a point that I would have more strength than usual. Maybe it is some kind of natural defense mechanism? Also lots of alcohol tend to amplify the sound but does not seam to make my ear as sensitive as being annoyed or angry. I can say that in general, tinnitus does not affect my life. I accept it as being part of me. In general, as long as I stay calm, I can barely hear it. in short, for me, intense emotions tend to amplify the noise. So stay calm and meditate. Worrying about it, just tends to aggravate it, keep your mind occupied, listen to soft music and stay active.

I usually don't get exposed to loud noises or any head injuries but it suddenly came out of nowhere. Damn I had sinusitis this spring 2022 and last year 2021 both in the spring. In 2022 though after sinusitis symptoms my ears have been clogged and have been unclogged for like a total of 1 minute in the past 8 months. I’m 27. Always had bad allergies especially in the spring. These past couple of years though I noticed that my allergies have gotten worse. Anyway so I got Covid in June 2022 and then my ears felt pouchy and warm and heavy and when I would wake in morning, they would hurt like a lot and ache so much! I also made music everyday. I noticed high pitch frequencies were starting to hurt or feel very washy. The hi hats felt very white noise ish my brain couldn’t comprehend the frequencies as clear and I noticed it. Anyway when my ear felt pouchy and warm, they were also injured from me trying to protect my hearing which was putting ear buds in first before I recorded vocals and then I put my headphones over them so the sound going out of the headphones wasn’t as loud. I needed to make sure the ear buds were small enough sorts but my headphones would put in needed pressure in the ear canal. I did this for a couple of weeks I think or more, to protect my hearing. I can also bring up I made a song in April or may, it took a toll on me physically, I was sick and very congested. like allergy symptoms. I just couldn’t shake off that burnout and congested feeling for a while. My story is all over the place but a few days before getting tinnitus like I said my ears were aching and felt like they were bleeding in the morning and I would also wake up to my ears making a sea shell sound. It was life changing for me especially since I saw the movie about a drummer going sorta deaf or completely deaf or some shit I was really scared and I also loved music. So I got tinnitus a few days later which was in august 2022 and I was sad about it and now it’s November 2022 and I only had probably like 30 minutes of actually normal hearing or no ringing in my ears in that time span. I was also very sick in august as well and I went to the emergency room because of my tinnitus and my sinuses were very messed up I felt like a zombie outside. I remember a specific day too it was like gross af outside super pollen like it was this past summer and my sinuses just couldn’t let me breath right I was a walking dead body or some shit it was very pacifying, like in a negative way type of vibe. It affected me mentally like SUPREMELY. And I had thoughts of like deep thinking and it made me very scared of my future because i was dealing with a bunch of messed up stuff. I wasnt rrally getting good enough like surgical help that I know I probably needed or some shit. But yea I still have tinnitus and ear clogging On both ears and it feels weird and every time I take a shower my ears just feel wet and if I want to do music and if I hit the bag, I hit the bag as a workout, when I chill out my ears get even more ringy and stuffy and very air pressurized. My hearing in my right heat went away completely after a recording session for like a quick , less than a second type of joint. Which was wack. I have a x ray appintment for my sinuses today and another one in over a week for my tinnitus. I also have like hyperacusis which is sensitivity to sounds. This is the most I’ve dealt with for a long period of time, other than depression. I think my tinnitus is from music and also my sinusitis episode this past spring 2022. I also have “Eustachian tube dysfunction” at least that’s what the doctor said.

@@BizKit167 Apparently it’s not about hearing loss really and most people experience hearing loss without the tinnitus. Lucky them. Sadly I’ve started writing my last will and testament and putting my affairs in order. As a 23 year old it seems ridiculous to my family but I, like you, have been through enough in my life and this is the last straw for me. I feel for you. It’s a terrible thing, and it makes me very sad to think people have to deal with this forever. I’m not strong enough so the cowards way out is a blessing for me! It’s incredible that people have the strength to deal with this for their whole lives. I do have one final idea though before I check out. I’m gonna try mushrooms. Psilocybin mushrooms cause neuroplasticity (rewiring of neural networks) and have worked wonders for my depression in the past because of this. They’re illegal but I found a little thank god. Lions mane mushrooms potentially cause neurogenesis (growth of new neurons). My hope is to use them both and hopefully since this is a neurological condition it can cure it. Slim chance but it’s worth a shot at this point. It’s going to take some months but wish me luck and if it goes well I’ll let you know! everyone has this voice, people with high awareness make it obsessed. (Of course, exposure to loud noise or diseases increase the level of this sound.) If you listen carefully, you can understand that the sound comes from the brain, not from the ear. Everyone experiences ringing and it lasts for 1-2 minutes on average. but this voice is with you for life and comes from the brain. My suggestion is this: please don't try to mask tinnitus as it will make it more severe. learn to sleep with it and don't worry your brain will start to ignore it after 3-6 months.
