I really like this light and the review you did! What’s funny is that company reached out to me about reviewing that light as well and then after a few back-and-forth emails never heard back from them, lol. I do like that portable size. A lot of versatility as well, using it maybe as a fill light, or putting a snoot on it to jazz up the background a little bit in a video.

There is a fan though - so not a totally silent light. So consider your mic placement. 👍👍

Thanks for the video. I don't agree with the other comment that it's useless gadget videos. Someone always needs a video review on a specific product and it's great finding one in KZfaq when you are on the search.

ha - yes. I didn’t waste my time explaining anything to the other comment but a lot of people find these reviews helpful when they are trying to create content that is meaningful to them. For instance, when I interview comedians who are trying to get their work out there and they ask for my help, I bring lights like these for high quality footage. But why explain that to a nasty comment that doesn’t deserve it 🤣🤣

Very nice and small! But if you could only keep one of them which one would you choose: the Sirui C60B or the Godox UL60. 🙂

If you ever revisit this product, please tell everyone about the wonky handle/stand mount setup. It's metal on plastic and fails quickly. Newer makes a ball head replacement that works great. Thanks for all your hard work!

I mentioned it in the video that I would replace the handle with something sturdier because I thought the same thing. I got a metal adapter and it works great - still use mine all the time

ok, just got to the mention of the Camera Canada loaner. Will be interested to hear your thoughts on the R5C, in a future video, it's such a highly regarded camera. In fact, it's so good, Jared Pollin has 30 of them ;-)

@@markwiemels Here is basically my review - It's one of Canon's highest end photo cameras and also a full frame cinema camera with 8k RAW. Which is crazy. But the autofocus isn't as reliable in video - which means the R5 is better for someone like me. The cinema menu is so great. And if I was filming a documentary (or feature) where I was manually focusing, I don't see how you can do better than this.

How does this stand against the Godox UL60? I think we need a comparison with the rest of the lights you featured in this channel. I was almost sold on Godox, but it’s chunky for my space (so I was thinking to flex led panel), but this…. That’s could be a game changer, size and portability ❤

This is smaller for sure - but you'll still need a chunky softbox - so the flex panel still might be better for you. If you have the space - the Godox UL60 can't be beat for the studio in my opinion. I have LOVED taking the C60B on location.

Thank for sharing Mark. You are doing a kick-*ss work like always. This light is blo*dy €200-250 in Germany. What a rip-off on equipment here in europe. In America, things are so cheap.
