This is Hidden Forest Lake tiny home community. It's already set up with gas electricity and water you just can't see it in the video. There's a lot of people already living there. They have a website you can take a look. The rent is super cheap compared to where I live in California. Less than half.

@@akajulz thanks. Not sure what I expected but wondering does the home have to be moved again to dig and connect to pipes for plumbing and sewer? Or is there enough room in that crawl space. And can these home go anywhere or does it have to be in a designated tiny home community. Thanks so much.
@akajulz
@akajulz 2 жыл бұрын
@@cydneystephen2814 if you've ever been camping at an RV resort it's just like that. If you haven't, there's a faucet for city water, and opening in the ground for the sewer which attaches to the home with PVC piping, and a pole with an electrical box attached to plug into. Some locations also have natural gas although some areas are trying to get rid of natural gas. I believe they have 100 amp boxes at this location which is really good because a lot of places only have 50. These hookups are located outside of the tiny home not underneath it. They have to have easy access. If you move the home somewhere else these utilities have to be in place. It depends on where you live if tiny homes are allowed, and where they're allowed to be placed. It varies by city. Most RV parks allow RV park models which is what these tiny homes are, because they are an upgrade from travel trailers, 5th wheels, and single wide park models from the 60s and 70s. In my park, any new homes coming in have to be RV park models. Sadly, because of deal they have with a local manufactured home dealer the prices start at $169,000. The dealer puts a $50,000 Park model that looks nothing like the one in the video and then they charge $169k for it.

I bought a 20 year old tiny house last December and I liked this video because I got to see what a house with insulation like mine looks like from underneath. I got mine for 55K so those babies keep their value! It also passed the appraisal with flying colors, so you can see the value built into them. They're definitely worth the money, so if you're in the market for one make sure the dealer and builder are honest and reliable then go for it! Those views of Mr. Tiny were a nice added feature, and congratulations to the happy home owner!
@akajulz

So much for a reply I saw on one of Mr Tiny"s other videos. It was from someone who sells RV park models elsewhere. He was saying that they are not designed to be lived in full time for any length of time. I've lived in a 20 year old travel trailer for The last 9 years because it's the only way I can afford to live in San Jose as a retiree. Travel trailers and fifth wheels are not meant to be lived in full-time. I've had to do a lot of small repairs, but because it's 20 years old and built better than the ones today being manufactured I haven't done anything major. The tiny home in the video could easily be lived in for decades because it's built completely different.
@dogcatfamily2476

Most Tony's cost up to 10x per sq ft then a regular home. It is over kill on many because they have to be road worthy so if you permanently park you have an incredibly strong well insulated home to last decades just be sure you buy from an accredited builder not a guy who builds them on weekends in his backyard.

When having one delivered to your lot be sure to watch the water leveling. It’d be beneficial to have a 6’ or longer level to check the porch and other areas for accuracy. It’s an exciting day when your home arrives & you have to be diligent when it comes to leveling.

Ok! I liked this! Now show us how they skirt and put on stairs to the home! I love information, you only get better with what you know! Maybe a video on how customers arrive at Tiny Home Cottages, and pick your model and picking your finnishes. How the whole process works. Maybe a new buyer would let you film the important highlights of buying their home. Or maybe show how it's done using a staff member as a buyer. I'd also love to see how they are built at the factory. There are just so many things that would be great to know, befpre uou buy!!

I can't tell you how happy I am to see someone setting these up properly. My father worked for Iseman Mobile Homes nearly his whole life. I went to work with hime sometimes so I've been under plenty of mobile homes. I'm also happy to see that you let the wheels and stay with (although I'm not sure about leaving them on). In 1997 we bought a brand-new mobile home that was set up by the trailer park and they clearly did not know what they were doing. The mobile home settled improperly and was damaged due to their set up. I insisted on a third party to check out the set up before converting to a mortgage. It was sagging in the middle several inches. They leveled and reset it but the damage was done. The wheels and tongue no longer stay with new mobile homes. They take them with and reuse them.

I've done a lot of research and there are no companies in California that make anything similar to the level of the RRC homes. The companies here just make those basic park models that are a rectangular box with a basic kitchen and a bathroom. But I can't give up the California weather. I've lived her my whole life, and when I see the weather in Texas it's a hard no.
