This is Fern the Bus and her passengers Mande, Ben and Sawyer. This family of three loves the tiny life and love a project, so they are perfect candidates for a great tour! The design and layout of Fern is impeccable and the gorgeous layout and finish work is a must-see. Where they could they saved original items such as the; door, seat cushions and the cockpit. But the newly added awning, rooftop deck and outside shower are the perfect additions for Fern. One of the best parts of the tour is when Ben and Mande discuss how much they love the tiny home community, and how the people in the community inspire them in their renovations! Fern is such a special bus and so are the people that reside in her. Thanks Mande, Ben and Sawyer!

Definitely. The shelf/cupboard for her clothes could be made bigger and into a full length closet. The closet could be a wet bathroom.

I've seen a lot of Skoolies on KZfaq which are wonderful and some are the opposite but never such an organized space in a bus this size - usually they don't have wet bath and so this thing is... just WOW!

This was one of many conversions I have watched and kudos to you for doing a simple, to the point tour without opening every drawer and cabinet and naming every single thing you own. Nice skoolie build.

I Truly Love what you'll have created. Kudos to you for using the bus seats for your benches. Always thought their should be ways of using them. Especially if you have animals or children, leather under 3m materials keeping it easy cleanup. So glad you thought of a way to hold items up under your bed in garage area. A awning too. Fantastic. I've always felt the 7 window bus like Fern was the perfect size for a schoolie. Your iteration is one of the very best I've seen! I would have to do a roof raise, however, as I'm very tall. Excellent job!

This is one of my favorite skoolies its a perfect size for a single person or just a couple. Plus its easier to park and find parking great size for boondocking. This bus is pretty much prefect. The only thing I would do differently is a full bathroom/wet bath. Thats because I plan on doing full time bus life. If your not doing full time bus life your just using the bus for vacations and some camping trips then the bathroom needs on this bus are just fine. Beautiful design and decor. I Love this bus... ❤😊👍👍👏👏

Beautiful! I loved the horn too. I was born in 1960, so without a doubt, I rode this bus. I do remember IH buses and I remember those seat cushions LOL. The fold-able door is so pretty. I really like that you source buses for people that want to dive in. It is nice to think about buying through someone with experience. ☺

The inside is pretty. I've watched a lot of these van/bus life videos and I just have to say it - women - the monthly visitor requires special care that showering outside just doesn't hit.

Shawn Jones No, it really doesn't require that much change / "special care." Its not much different then tent camping/ backpacking/ travelling...Its really not that difficult to deal with.. Also full showers aren't always necessary..Also some women don't menstrate monthly due to certain birth controls or sometimes just their own body.

When I started researching school buses as a possibility for conversion, I came across Fern and instantly fell in love. It was Fern that inspired me to do my own bus. Thank you for such a beautiful inspiration.

there would be seatbelts on the couch(its vary common), as for where the child sleeps idk.

This is such a neat and tidy build. It looks like a display at an IKEA store! Lol…. However, there are a few changes I would have made. Like an inside shower/toilet combo and a larger fridge.

This is beautiful . Very open , light , and airy . I don't know why a lot of people build dark interiors. As a home remodeler , I try to educate my clients that small spaces should be as light as possible. This shoolie is nice

I like everything but it would be more perfect if you extend the bathroom and make it full one. Remove the cleaning supplies. A wardrobe can sacrifice.
