VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Christina travels the road in her 2020 Capri camper that rides on top of a 2011 Chevy Silverado. The interior is full of color and unique decor, including a wall full of stickers collected from breweries around the nation. There's an excellent stereo system with interior and exterior speakers.
Size can be deceiving in this tiny home as Christina has a queen size bed across from a 32" tv as well as a full-size shower! The kitchen has a Nova Kool fridge, convenient microwave, two-burner stove, and a flush mount sink. This rig has a 30-gallon freshwater tank and a 4-gallon hot water arrangement. With added storage and additional shelving, this camper has all one needs for a comfortable journey on the road!

@@amishparadise1924 I live in it completely off grid, the solar panels i have i can hook up and work the outlets perfectly fine. however the only mistake i did make with the solar panels was not doing enough research and the type I currently have is not strong enough to run the AC with but hopefully that’ll be fixed soon!

@@christinagreen2743 i bought newpowa 210 watt panels, im not sure how other brands are constructed first hand, but im very happy with the construction of these. I've been watching 100's of videos to check out what I'd want for my build, and I've seen some pretty flimsy looking panels. Im building a diy power lift using old bed frame metal to mount my panels to, i am amazed how durable the newpowa panels are. Just thought id give them a mention, i went ahead and bought a Powall inverter from them since they seem to make good equipment. So far im happy with that purchase too, i never heard of them until i came across a helpful video on an epever controller. I couldn't help but notice you wussed out on your sleeve, you need some ink on that elbow lol. Great looking camper, God bless!!

Besides more storage, I would also have a pass through to access the truck. That way I'm not trapped in the camper if something sketchy was happening outside. I could squeeze through the pass through, get into the driver's seat and drive off without ever having to be outside. 💖🌞🌵😷

You'd have to get a truck equipped with a window and figure out how to open it from the outside. You might wanna look into a class B.

@@danamichelle1290, fun fact: Most pick up trucks have a back window. Many have a sliding glass door installed at the factory (big enough for most ladies to fit through.) If your pickup, doesn't come equipped with one it's very easy to install one. Most campers like this come with a pass through boot... But since this camper is custom, I guess she opted not to get one ... Not an option, I would skip... just saying. 💖🌞🌵😷

@@suzisaintjames I've had several.... my truck camper window is about 12x15 with a screen. I've been doing this for years. Yes, getting out of the truck and into the back in a massive southern storm is no joke. Not easy to mitigate unless you want expensive modifications. I've never had a sketchy situation but most people wouldn't expect a female to be alone in a camper. Ive never felt unsafe, I'm just mindful of the places I park.

Very cool! This makes me think a truck could be better than a van. The 4WD could really come in handy for remote camping. If the truck gets too old you can get another truck, you cannot do that with a van.

That's what I was thinking too! And you could take the Camper off if you found a place to set up for a while like friends or family properties. And use the truck for side jobs, like hauling things for people to make some money under the table! I don't know if you can use trucks to be an Uber driver?

A camper on a truck definitely says "CAMPER". You can definitely make a van look like a service vehicle on the outside, but a comfortable home on the inside. And there are definitely 4-wheel drive vans out there. There are even 4-wheel drive ambulances. Really consider your needs, if you want to unhook, maybe a converted utility trailer is what you need. Then you can have whatever vehicle you want... You're not limited to a truck. 💖🌞🌵😷

@@suzisaintjames All choices to to consider. If you plan to do urban camping in stealth mode, a van would be best. If you plan to be mostly off-road, a truck with 4WD would do much better than a 4WD van since the truck has more clearance and lower gears. I like the idea of a converted utility trailer too.

Hey girl, you rock. So a million years ago before tiny homes were a "thing" I wanted to do something like this. But I got married, had kids etc, etc. - well kids grew up and that wander lust was still right there. Enjoy living your dreams. Safe travels.

This is literally my life story! I’ve been working for the same restaurant for 6 years and been a manger for part of those years. Always had parents that wanted me to get good grades go to college have a nice career and be happy but those things don’t make me happy so this year for my birthday I’m buying a small camper I can pull with my suv that’s already converted into a half bed in the back. I’m so excited to start my journey as a website manager so I can provide for myself while still traveling the world!! Y’all get ready to see me!! ✌️

The color is amazing! I love the chemistry and how you decorate your camper. Our version we never decorate our own camper we just wanted to remain the simple style and used it sometimes mostly during summer weekend.

Watched a lot of video along the lines of this, you have a great setup, so many comforts. The only downside I see at all, is the need to have shore power hookup for a number of major items, other then that, it's almost perfect!

I love truck campers and always had them on a 4x4 truck too. Unfortunately, I'm disabled now so can't climb stairs or get up to the bed unfortunately. As a compromise, I bought an older campervan, but your kind of situation will always have my heart. Nice rig! 🥰🚙

Put a small inverter in for maybe $50-$100 that you can plug into the cigarette lighter or direct wire and you’ll have 110 volts anytime you want it without having to run the generator or having to plug into an outlet. It converts your 12 volts to 110 volts. That inverter will only be good for low draw appliances.

We had a truck/camper Chevy also when I was little no where close to what you have , my MOM would have loved having the kitchen and the shower and especially the toilet we had none of those , a Coleman stove for cooking , showers at the campgrounds and a plastic toilet seat with plastic bags , not luxurious at all !! Your "home" is beautiful thank you for the tour !!

Hello, I saw your video & I used to do a lot of trailer & truck camping. Let me pass on some things that I learned that might help you in your journey. 1) Get stuff you need at a camping store for backpacking. It's small, compact, & light weight. 2)Get splash guards for your truck. It'll help keep you & your rig clean. They work. I know. Also grease your ball & the cup on your hitch. This will help prevent metal on metal grinding. 3) When parking for the night, park headlong into the wind. That way if a storm comes you won't have to worry about a side wind ripping off your camper shell. Plus, if anything comes bouncing towards the truck, since you have a slimmer profile, it might miss you. If it does hit, the front of the truck is reinforced. 4) Use bug spray on the interior doors & windows/ screens openings to help keep bugs out. Use wasp & hornet spray around & on your tires to help keep critters out. Basically, all points of contact on the ground. 5) An inch is a lot of room. Learn how to stack & get used to sand & dirt. Use floor mats to put your shoes on too 6)Air out your sleeping area every morning or often. In an enclosed space the air gets stale. 7)Use a small fan to circulate the air in your sleeping area. This will help prevent hot & cold spots from forming & help prevent condensation & mold & mildew from forming. 8)Use a solid hooded sweatshirt. Draw the hood tight when you sleep to help encapsulate body heat. It can double as a pillow/ dirty clothes holder/ gear carrier. I hope this helps. Great vid, thanks for sharing. Drive safe. 🤠

just a thought for you they do make 19-22inch TV's that will operate on 12V/120V that way you can use when you don't have shore power. We download Netflix on wi-fi to a tablet and have a special cord(e-bay) that connects my tablet to the TV and can watch movies any time that way. It works great when on the road or camping when TV signals are hard to get like most of the time and don't need shore power to operate. We also use a portable emergency radio to keep us up to date on bad weather. Other then that your rig looked very cozy and well laid out.

Really its a very good accommodation. Its a nice living space. Fully a safe jone, drive carefully, thanks for a best idea in little space, in proper use.
